SIL may find out before we tell MIL, if she messages me, as she's back in work before our trip, eak!
I was keeping a close eye on savings on the run up to month end, as I'd planned on getting us to £500, then got totally distracted with me, work, 2nd home etc.
I've applied for the role above mine, thankfully there was a similar job a while back and I'd saved the spec as one wasn't provided for this role.
Hopefully I'll have the section I'm clearing finished this week and my plot mate is going to help me to the other sections! I'll be redesigning my plot to make it more mobility friendly as we go along too. We're also swapping bits and pieces as we both have things the other wants for our plots 🤗
- I've had the gardener guy message me since my mates offer, but I'll deal with him tomorrow.
Wedding tog has said our full set of photos will be available soon 😍
- what's funny is a lot of couples are now recreating our 'poses' for their wedding pix up here.
I'll try harder to keep up with your diaries it's just been manic for a few weeks.

I'm not fussed about the job. A few of my workmates have said I'd be really good at it. TomBo moaned at me for not applying when it's more money, so I got my app in 12 mins before the closing time 🤭
- I honestly don't think the money is worth it.
I am very busy due to spending a lot of time at 2nd home as I want it fully up and running for next year. I need to write a list of my seeds and note which month they get sown.
TomBo has started putting my fence up, which is good as B and I will be beginning to clear that section this week. We'll be putting a few slabs in place and I can get my cold frames set up. I'm still clearing bramble roots from the other section.
Flower seeds are popping up. When bigger I'll transplant them into troughs and they'll be round my GH.I do want to buy paint so I can jazz up my water barrels which will catch the rainwater off my GH.
I've been helping my plot mate (B) get his sorted out as there's been a lot of strenuous work and I still think it's too soon for him to be doing things alone after his heart attack. We've become very good friends and I met his wife, who was pleased to hear / see he's not doing everything himself; it's reassured her.
Got some guys coming today to clear a climbing plant that's overtaking the outside of the flat, not ourside yet.
I've my lash in-fill apt this week.
Yes, I'm very busy and extremely happy ☺️Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.3 -

Thanks SH and Skinty
It's amazing how everything came together at once ☺️
Got the interview next week and I'll be applying for a perm role in my team. Only two more parts of my course to do, which will free up some mental space; passed an assessment this morning.
My new friends are great, we talk about anything and everything, have so many laughs and look out for each other (our combined age is about 330 and I'm the baby of the group 🤭).- Even my salon girl has notices a change in me at every apt.
I made a start digging down to get bramble roots out and will keep chipping away at it, only with a spade to move the soil out the way!
Had a lovely shower when I got in, pinned my hair up after tea (big mad hair expected tomorrow when I take it down) and did my nails while watching TV; pale pink with pink / silver glitter and little white hearts, which I carefully nudged onto my tips 😄
Tea was carbonara, first pudding was honey yoghurt tipped over fresh rhubarb, second pud was a pear.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.2 -
Nice to be the baby of the group.
You have really upped the self care
First pudding and second completely different pudding? Surely against the law??If you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them

Thank you DIA
I was sat at my desk today trying to think of what other self-care I could slip in, so far nothing picked but I'm creating a mental list. Having loads of fun pinning my hair up and having waves / curls when unleashed 🤭
Sometimes I have 3 or 4 puddings throughout the evening. It could be brownies, various fruits, tw1glets, cake, biscuits, yoghurt, glass of milk. All depends on what I've got in and how hungry I am, but I aim to be properly back 'dieting' next month.
It is fun being the 'baby' to all my 'brothers', they don't act their ages. As they're upto 75yrs I do keep an eye on them, make sure no one overdoes it, same as they do with me.
I tidied up a bit lunchtime as another section will be started this week and access is needed. Bramble root digging isn't something I make progress with in an hour ish session, I've tried a few times, so I'm saving that for full days.
After work I spent about 2h standing, taking a few steps, bending, return to cutt the climbing plant that was removed from the building. So far 4 bins filled, another 2 to fill and then I'll be filling up builders sacks for ease of adding it to the bins when they're emptied again; 6 were full and emptied today. It's going to take a good few days to cut, bin and bag this stuff.
- Unfortunately, this means I'm not able to get rid of 'bad' greens from 2nd home til the climbers all gone, unless there's a few dry days then I can have a burn bin session.
As to be expected I'm in a lot of pain and even managed to pinch my tummy with the secateur handles; don't ask!! and have got a bruise. My body is overtired and I'm about to turn in for the night.
Tea was bolognese with trumpet shaped pasta, pudding was yoghurt; I'd already had an apple and pear in the day.
