The flowers are so pretty and I can't wait until I get them planted. OH needs to finish the path, before he can build the next walled garden for them.
Most of my seeds have arrived and I need to plant them. Need to pot up the gooseberry and fuchsia.
Sadly, OH isn't available for hire / donation as he needs to finish everything up here 😂 he is starting to get tired, but is determined to get everything done over the next few weeks.
He did a clear out / clean up task for the neighbour below and is going to do his front garden too, the neighbour came up today with a stack of beer to say thanks.
OH had also invited another neighbour round for a BBQ when the garden is finished, OH isn't into social events but is getting on really well with the husband and appear to have a lot in common.
I've booked some more time off again this week.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.3 -

I agree with Skint - that you are both settling in really well. How lovely about the tomato plant flowers too. Exciting stuff.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Thank you ladies!
This type of flat is usually a little community, unlike the modern ones.
We have settled in well and feels like we've lived here for ages now. We both feel alive, constantly laughing, joking and behaving like kids, although we feel at least double our ages 😂
Every day there's something new happening with what's been planted. It is exciting knowing at some point we will be eating what we have grown and next year will see even bigger 'rewards'.
I've not yet measured both sections, but 3arth says it's 8x11m. Not huge, but we are making good use of the space.

OH had been busy digging up the old shared path, filling it with hardcore, putting edging in then doing a formal crazy path. He is hoping to have it finished tomorrow as it needs a few tweaks. It looks so much better than it did and doesn't feel dodgy to walk over like it was before.
We have a wonderful lump of sandstone, that's going to be used as a step from the shared path to our growing garden.
There's been a change of plan for the walled flower garden. OH wants to do it in the same style as the herb garden. Although the flower garden will be mine, it's in his section so final design is OHs decision.
After work I planted the seeds in The Salad Bar; lettuce, radish, beetroot, spring onions. I've a few more seeds to get started and I've got a few spuds in a cupboard I'm hoping will sprout. Need to do a few repottings tomorrow too.
We have got so lucky with the amount of things in both sections which we can reuse elsewhere within the gardens. It's saved us so much money.
Moved some more money to my savings pots this morning.
Had burgers for tea and am watching TV with my feet up.

It is raining v lightly down here. I hope you are ok.Aiming for a minimal spend 20222

It rained this morning, which was fine as I was working 😁 This afternoon perked up, blue skies and muggy again.
I've repotted my gooseberry into a bigger tub and noticed a little gooseberry, haven't spotted any more or any flowers. Potted up some runner beans, made wigwams and just have to wait for them to sprout. Just the carrots and flower plants to do.
No changes to the tomatoes or peppers. The spuds in the cupboard are sprouting, must remember where I put the sacks.
OH confessed he has thrown some salad seeds onto the hugel mound and today he has seen sprouting.
Added some money to my S&S ISA (pension cash), hoping to increase my monthly DD payment each year and continue to drop a bit extra in each month.
Having roast beef tonight and I'm resting as today I'm having a tired day.
