All I could do was rest, sat with my feet up!
I'm so pleased to be working PT as, in theory, I'll have more energy and the amount of hours I've now got available for my personal life is amazing. I will be able to study for hours. I'll potter round the garden, grow wonderful fruit and veg while keeping on top of the weeding. I can do a little more DIY, some photography, a little bit of cleaning and tidying occasionally. These non-study periods will allow me to mentally go over what I've learned, testing myself.
I'll keep an eye on the vacancies, just in case a suitable permanent PT one pops up, or try and get another few hours in this one.
- Skinty was right, doing less hours has made it more bearable!
Growing food and doing surveys means I can stretch my income and at some point I'll get an allotment plot too; I'll send my annual email over the holidays to see what position I am.
I'll do a few hours of study today, but won't push too hard. Providing everything is typed up, checked and tweaked by the weekend I'll still be on schedule for revising.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.1 -
Well done. After some heavy rain it is a bit calm here. I hope you have a good day.Aiming for a minimal spend 20221

Thanks SW and SH
TomBo is batch cooking , knocked up a carrot and bean soup and I had a bowl for lunch, a spicy tomato sauce and he's on about making a cauli and broccoli soup too.
I've finished typing up that chapter, only got 8 pages of the old book to check against the new one. Should get that finished off tomorrow and I can make a start on filling in some of the gaps where I needed info from other sources.
I'm trying to figure out how much of my notes I can chop out, which is difficult as there's 16 topics. I still need to cross-reference my notes against the syllabus and previous exams, see if any sections definitely don't get tested on from the topics. So far it's about 70 A4 pages for me to remember 🤨
I've also popped to the garden. Did a bit of weeding, some harvesting and general look at what's going on. I've a few bakers from this lot, some nice boilers and roasters; it's some from the garden rather than sacks 😀
Today demonstrated I can definitely fill my days and kind of strengthens my resolve not to work 5 days a week again. If I can have a nice day while it's raining, dull and cold, that's got to be telling me something.
- my boots will take a few days to dry out!
Feet up and TV time 🤗Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.2 -
I had a hour lie in today, I'd been awake for a lot longer trying to get comfortable. It's taken me years to realise my spine and limbs are like a rub1ck's cub3, they end up in different directions as I move or turn.
TomBo is WaO today so I've the flat to myself. He switched my IT gear on before leaving 😀
I put the GCH on for 5 minutes to make sure everything was working ok. I'm contemplating an iced coffee to cool down; perhaps picking a test day when it's 14° wasn't the best idea I've had 🤭
I'm trying to have two hot drinks a day, coffee in the morning and hot chocolate at night.
I better sort a mocha out and then I can get on with studying, lunch is carrot and bean soup.

Why are you rationing hot drinks?

I'm not rationing them! I'm trying to force myself to have more. If I had a hot drink every hour I would boil from the inside out and feel quite ill; thought I was going to pass out last night as I got that hot. My morning coffee is enough for me to be down to a vest and slippers. It's also why I struggle with hot food aside from winter.
Did studies most of today, had a break for lunch (added some of the carrot and bean soup to the little bit of leftover stew) and another break to do the washing up.
8 pages left to check and tweak until the whole book is in note form. Then cross-referencing my notes against the syllabus and class videos removing stuff I don't need to learn and filling in the gaps where I need to find some info. Lastly, condense my notes into revision format.
I doubt I'll be doing any studying after work as my days are longer than what I'm used to. I'm also going to try and take a full lunch break, or possibly 'split' my time into a morning, lunch and afternoon break, see if that's better for my fatigue; maybe I should have opted for shorter days and more of them but I didn't fancy that!
Purchased a PB and I'll try to buy another this year.
We had carrot and bean soup for tea, watched a film and I've had my feet up all evening 😀Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.2 -
I must admit I don’t have hot drinks. I allow tea to cool and I make hot chocolate with 3/4 hot water and 1/4 cold milk and I usually only have them in autumn / winter. Glad to hear your studies are going well0% credit card £1360 & 0% Car Loan £7500 ~ paid in full JAN 2020 = NOW DEBT FREE 🤗

Thanks Skinty
I pushed the boat out and had a coffee for breakfast and hot choc after lunch.
We're all waiting for the new rise to go through which will give me a decent back pay and going forward bump me up to nicely; had an "ooooh the FT wage would be nice" moment, then I thought of the work itself and that idea vanished 😀😀
B1 wants me back FT 😐 as I'm already beating experienced staff with stats, output and quality 😉 I felt the effects of a long day and smacked my knee off the chair base when going to switch my gear off 🙈 may have turned the air various shades of blue!
I made £1.50 in survey points in under an hour and will aim for an hour / £1.50 each day to supplement my wages; TomBo is already laughing as he knows I won't stop and will continue to increase my goal.
I'll have to start logging my CPD as that's building up and another admin task. I must also change my printer ink and get the pension forms printed and posted by the weekend.
Got my feet up, we're having spicy tomato sauce and pasta for tea, with the final H0bb1t film tonight.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.2 -
