    Thanks SH

You're allowed to mention it, but I've still got the problem of evidencing things as I haven't yet started my depressing pain diary.

It's a negligible amount to stay in the full, rather than half DB.  I need to send forms off to see what some of my DC's would get me if I move them in.

New contract starts a bit sooner than I thought it would, so my next pay is going to be less than I'd worked it out to be. I think I'll get another tax refund though when I'm on my PT wage.

I'd reworked my budget after instigating the conversation and knew what the weekly hours would be if it went through. I've also said I'll take on more hours if some became available, but they know I definitely don't want 5 days a week on a permanent basis; cited health reasons for that 🤫

An extra 2 hours a week is all I need to be very comfortable, 7 hours a week I'd be rich; which is why I'll be doing surveys as I can probably bridge the gap with them 😀
    - beginning to doubt I'll return to FT again after this contract ends and I will be keeping an eye on the vacancies in case a career role pops up with them during this FTC.

I've made a slow start on my last chapter and will have this book finished by Saturday. If I can trim the notes down Sunday I'll be ready to revise all day Monday.
    - Must book that exam as closing date is too close for comfort now.

Had a last hurrah today, chippy night, cost less than £9 for both of us 🤗

I love chippy tea although it's been a while.

Glad you have part time hours. Hope you get another couple of hours. The pain diary doesn't have to be kept for long. If you kept a diary for a couple of weeks it would help you with examples to fill in the form.

    Thanks SH

Now I've got time I'll be able to make a start on a few things:
    - put my new ink in my printer.
    - print off the forms to price up transferring some DC pensions into the DB; might be 'cheaper' to do that while I'm PT.
    - gather info for the SDP application but will type it so I can keep adding info. Even thinking about what I'll write in my pain diary reduced me to tears.

I've made it to the end and have a few years of paid employment not impacting my personal life. Really felt the strain of work impacting my studies this week, I've managed an hour over the last two days. At the same time fast running out of energy to work due to my health. I know a lot is due to dropping temperatures too and how that alters my pain levels.

I booked and paid for my exam yesterday, the next study expense is my membership fee, then the resit fee and then another module. That's 2023 sorted 🤭

Moved a bit of money to savings.

Think I'll just study for a month or so, give myself time to catch my breath and maybe slip in an occasional swim on a nice day when I've adjusted.

I'm snuggled up on my chair and we're having soup in a bit. Just felt the last of my energy slip away and go to bed 🙈

  • TomBo got up quietly this morning, carefully closed the door and crept around the flat so not to disturb me. When I got up my equipment was switched on and I was presented with a hot water bottle after I'd barely sat down on my comfy chair.

I had a catch up, offering / receiving supportive words of encouragement to others doing this qualification and feeling the pressure of the forthcoming exam. I've felt my book nagging me, so I've been chipping away at that; from the back of this chapter as those sections are easier than the bit I'm avoiding and psyched myself out of due to being half-zombie this week. Been challenged to get it finished by lunchtime otherwise I'm feeding the cat 🤫

I've had a mocha and better do more typing!

Well done on all your studies. I am glad you are preparing. Have you rung up for the form as it takes a while to come and you have 4 weeks from when you ring... They backdate...

Thanks DIA, the mocha is an indulgent feel good treat.

Thanks SW, we'll all get our aims and goals, even if it takes a bit longer.

Thanks SH, it's done online up here and I need to figure out what evidence I can get hold of as I don't see the Drs, just get repeat prescriptions, and the last professionals I saw about my overall health was in the first flat, so massively out of date. I'm finding the thought of it extremely stressful.

I've been studying most of the day, with intermittent faffing around and I had a shower lunchtime with a bit of a pamper, then carried on with my studies.

Got 18 pages left of this chapter and then I can check the ones off the old book, tweak / slim down my notes, print them off (assuming my new cheap ink works) and get on with revising. If I could be at the printing stage Monday I would be very happy, if not I will be by next weekend.

Still need to change my ink over, print the DB pension forms, start the pain diary.

Had an early start today, must have been wiped out as I didn't notice TomBo getting up!

The weather is wet and foggy, I've got soaked a few times.

I've been to the garden centre and picked up enough onions for next year, assuming they all grow. They didn't have any garlic. Used the last voucher and spent 83p.

Went to T, got soup, bread, veg, fruit, cat food etc started getting chocolate presents and I'll slip in other bits each time I go, cost £63.

Put £30 in the car and that will last a while now.

TomBo sent me money and I've made an O/P on the mortgage, paid a bit off my CC (exam fee) and put a bit away for next month's bills.

Got my feet up and resting as I've overdone it.

We're having stew and dumplings for tea, good old hearty, warming, winter food!
