Gooseberry, raspberry and blackberry, great for £3.39 each Skinty.
Helped SIL, I pulled some weeds up and sorted soil from the grass. TomBo dug one section over. Was given 2 strawberry plants as a thank you; planted them with my others.
I've sowed parsnips and more carrots, tidied up a bit more of the patio and a bit of weeding.
Had pan cooked beef, with mushrooms, and mash.
£16 in the bank, £2 is bank fee, 7 days until payday.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.2 -
Fantastic gardening and bargain fruit bushes and a big painting job done too. Crumbs. I go into the garden to hang washing and the weeds keep looking at me laughing!!!! Hurrah for the weekend.Aiming for a minimal spend 20223

Thanks SW, I've got loads of weeds to clear, but if I do a bit each time it helps. Maybe you could work on a small section at a time, or cut the leaves down to grown level so you cant see them.
I've only got a couple of long weekends left.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.4 -

Thanks Skinty, I try not to think about that, otherwise it gets depressing! Just have to keep going back to the start and work my way round. Hopefully if I can get more bark chip down this year, that will help.
Today is weeding, tidying and making ash; got loads of branches to get rid of. Good news is the council are now collecting garden waste, so we are going to filter some out the way too.

What a bargain on the fruit bushes! Hope the weeding isn’t too painful, bet it will look lovely when it’s all cleared3

Thanks RL, I try not to think about that either, or grunting when standing up, arghing when moving position, but focus on how fresh I look after being outside 😃
I'm taking my seed tub and stool down, so I can do various things.

My friend has a pink gooseberry bush and the fruit is lovely.
Your fruit bushes are a great ideaIf you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them

Thank you DIA.
Did a bit of weeding. Sowed parsley and basil, if it works there's enough for us and SIL's allotment. Also sowed some companion plant seeds to try and repel the wrong kind of bugs. Burned some of the wood, still loads more to do. Tidied up a bit of the patio.
The neighbour below us came out for a chat, TomBo is going to be working on his garden, I've had the ok to put flowers in the front / back garden for him; he works really long hours and it will be nice for him to have a relaxing outside space when not working. I'm thinking cottage type garden for him, bursting with colour throughout the year, but will see what the space is like when TomBo has finished clearing parts and cutting other sections. We also asked about our noise levels, he doesn't hear us and barely knows we are in. Phew, did worry as my cat occasionally runs and jumps around.
Had celery and hummus for lunch, apparently tonight we are having vegetarian!
