We have suggested she gets a job, but that hasn't gone down well 😸
Hopefully the screw removal kit will arrive soon, then I can get the last unit handle fitted.
I'm going to try and do some more glossing after work, if I can find some energy.
Payday and break up day very soon!

Screw removal kit arrived, however I totally forgot I was going to do a bit more on the lounge and only remembered when I hopped in the shower.
- will get it all finished this week and then I can put things back on the units as the gloss should be cured (fully hardened).
TomBo has been in the garden today, backfilling the stump hole and starting to repair the bit of path next to it.
I will have to dig out my cold weather clothes as it's nearly new gardening season and the ultimate test as to whether I can do it during the cold spell.
Had a little voucher from my employer, was going to save it for when I'm back in, but maybe it would be best if I used it sooner 🤔
So close to breaking up, got to hang on a few more days.
Having chilli and rice for tea.

I'm so excited for you finishing the lounge, definitely living vicariously! Are you planning on doing lots with the house on your break, or are you having a proper rest?2

I'm doing the hall next Atrixa, but that's only a day or two as it's a freshen-up over old white, not mahogany woodwork. Although the door is brown 🙈 that can have the special paint put on throughout the rest of this week, then glossed at the tail end after the walls / ceiling are done.
- the lounge did need a lot of work, even though it's just a temporary makeover.
No plans to do anything else at home after that, aside from a bit of paced cleaning. I need a good rest and haven't had any proper time off this year, aside from when I got really ill. Downside is when I stop everything, I usually get sick 🤫
Next year I will repaint the bedrooms and maybe buy bathroom / kitchen paint to freshen them up, or that might be the year after.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.4 -
SH the voucher isn't as useful as yours, but will hit the spot in the cold.
Just remembered I was going to do the window seals, because of reading atrixia's update and buy the new trickle vents; I must re-read the last few months of my diary to see what my plans were, I've not done that in a while and it's also acts as my reminder 🙈Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.2 -
Just caught up Babs. As long as the cat doesn't get her paws on a CATalogue and start ordering on-line, she won't have a CATastrophic effect on your bank balance... and then your home will be just purr-fect. Haha Ren, we do worry she will figure out how to use the mouse, check the exchange rate and realise catbucks are not a currency and use her pocket money to buy better staff 🤫
I'm really struggling to work, my brain keeps switching off and I can't concentrate; just have to hang on to get through this week when all I want to do is go back to bed.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.3 -
When I feel like that I have a 'catch up sleep' would that work for you?
Could you take a nap at lunchtime? Sometimes it paid for me to listen to my body as it prevented a bigger 'crash' later. Either way, wishing you a good day.If you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them
