Thank you DIA, I can't bring myself to buy bakelite door handles, I've never liked them, but would happily have the light switches if they were white; if we did ever move potential buyers would be very concerned the flat had the original wiring.
Had a drinks cabinet in the last flat, but disposed of it when moving due to having the fitted one here. They add a touch of quaintness and make a home inviting.
I'm doing loads of little finishing touches for the accent / colour and putting art up in all rooms and the hall for that 'extra ahhhh' home feel 🤭

Hey Babs
Nice to read that you are nearly there, Tombo sounds like he does struggle to see the big picture, a shame that he can't, but, I bet he will like it with everything done, and you can tell him his favourite colour will stand out more on white! What is the colour scheme/accent? If that's not too nosy! I am picturing, erm, pictures! Cosy throws, cushions, vases, mirror, and even maybe a clock! Sounds like a real cosy home for you both to nest in...."...when you have eliminated the impossible, whatever remains however improbable, must be the truth..."

Thanks Ren.
It's purple, which would close the lounge back down. You're partly right with the accessories only the throws are leftovers from the colour scheme I did in the last rental. I've thought about updating them but my cat doesn't like change either 😂
Had a wonderful day yesterday, took myself off to the charity shop and explored a new road as a property caught my eye and was crying out to be photographed!
Spent £7 in the charity shop and picked a black bun up from the bakers; I've not tried it before and every now and again I pick up something 'Scottish' to sample.
-- I've got a few more accent pieces for the lounge, second bedroom and bathroom 🤗
I think TomBo went back to the antique shop as the glassware I was given doesn't tally with my colour recollection of what I picked out, I've also got my first bit of w3dg3w00d, neither of us know what it's use is supposed to be 🤭
Today is a rest day as I could just about get out of bed and make it to the lounge 🙈Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.2 -
Glad you had a good day wondering and found done gems. Reading that brought back memories of my nan telling me about her days in the factory painting w3dgew00d, is your piece white and blue?
Hope your rest day helps.Mortgage Aug 2019 161,000 :eek::eek::eek:Nov 2019 156,500:T Jan 2020 153,122:T, Apr 2020 149,500, Apr2021 139, 675, Oct 2021 136,823, Dec 2021 136,120🙂EF 0/12,000 (0%)😕 (5062.44 was ERC), Jan 2023 128,650. It's flowers with a crane on it. Not the traditional W3dg3w00d blue and white.
Solved the glass mystery, it's something my cat told him to get (we buy each other gifts from the cat, but it's usually cat related!), Which explains why it's not as I remembered. Got handed the painting today, will hang it when I break up 😊
Need loads more rest and just have to get through next week, then I can have a long rest 🤗Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.3 -
It is all coming together - with the cat and Tombo's help!
You will soon be resting up and every time you look around your home, it will put a big smile on your face, because you have done it!
I may nick your idea about buying stuff 'The dog told me to get it....' although I don't think the relatives will fall for that one.... ha!"...when you have eliminated the impossible, whatever remains however improbable, must be the truth..."

I'm contemplating buying a small pot of colour for the hall the weekend. It's got dado rails so I could do the lower half colour and TomBo could do the upper half / ceiling this week in white.
- I will also order the door fittings Friday, for all the doors; can save a bit if I bulk buy.
My cat has good taste, I think she also has more pocket money than we do too 🤭
Just have to get through this week, which is hard as I desperately need rest. The walk around the village was not my best idea and I've not been able to get comfortable since.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.3 -

She has her own piggy bank, any money found or small change from shopping goes in; 50p and under, although not often lately as I rarely pay cash now 😁
When we moved to the last place, I acquired a CATering tub and then it became hers! I guess it just shows how financially stable things are at the moment.
Although I was tempted to see what else I could find in the charity shop with the remaining bit of gift money, I felt more comfortable having it in savings; I've nearly filled the one pot and can then focus on filling the others.
