  • How frustrating! My bf is a bit like that, but with restaurant choices:
    Me: Where do you fancy?
    Him: I dunno, you pick.
    M: Is X ok?
    H: Yeah
    *at restaurant*
H: I'm not in the mood for X
    M:   :/
    Why can't they communicate properly?
The room will look lovely when it has some accent pieces in it.
  • Thank you Atrixa, they are definitely on another planet and I don't feel like I'm the only one now.

I've been looking at paint charts online and picked a few potential colours for the hall. There's a dado rail fitted and I'm planning colour for the bottom half, white for the top / ceiling.

  • You are definitely not the only one with an oh like that, mine has moments like this aswell and unfortunately as much as we try we don't have crystal balls.

  • Thank you LW2G.

Having 'slept' on it and thought of a few other instances, I've come to the conclusion he cannot visualise things until they are in place, trying to make me happy, dislikes change and don't know he doesn't like something until it's done or any other excuse I can come up with to justify his response!

  • Blimey what a nightmare that is for you, hope someone pulls their finger out and does what is needed.

  • Thank you LW2G and SH.
I received an email from them, addressed to someone else, so now I've lodged another complaint and included reference to GDPR breaches and forwarded one to their CEO (not my style normally), giving them until next week to sort themselves out.

When I do contact ofg3m next week, one of the resolutions I want is to move to a different supplier without it being blocked. I've never known a company this inept! Even ofg3m have fined them several times.

  • Not doing any glossing for a few days, as my cat needs a break from the smell, we probably do too!

We cracked open our Christmas sweet tub last night. It's rather cute seeing adults picking lollypops, fizzy sweets and giggling.

I think I know which gift I'm getting for cake day as TomBo got his dates mixed up, had to send him out the room to hide them again 😂 I had hoped that one would be for Christmas as it's going on the table from his mom, but I can find a temporary place for it.
    - I admitted to thinking it was next week myself, even though I look at calendars every day 🤫

I offered the olive branch with the lounge again, said I'm stressed and upset he never said, he thinks it will be cold but better when our junk is back in; I've not yet broken it to him that the open shelves are no longer dumping grounds, but display units, booze and glasses storage 🙈

He's been in the garden all afternoon making ash, I need to pop out tomorrow and plant the tulips.

Having chippy night and tomorrow is adventure day 🤗

  • You talking about booze and glasses storage reminded me that today I saw a 'drink's cabinet' like my gran had. This one had a bakelite handle. It would be lovely as a project to paint. It was £44 and I was tempted...Booze and glass storage also make a house a home IMHO :)

    Enjoy chippy night :)
