Those types of cheques I tend to just stick on the fridge or something for the comedy value  :p
I had a refund for £4.11 from my old contents cover and I was glad that went straight into my bank account!

Ha! At 11p! Still, it will make a tiny increase. I can picture you doing the rolling around on cash within a few months at this rate.... :) 'Keeeeeeeeep dancing glossing!'

Hope you get a lovely outing, and the weather behaves itself, it's pretty cold here but I prefer that to 'persistently raining'....! :D

Comedy value was priceless ladies 😁
It will only take 50 years for the interest to double to 22p 😂 it was a dividend payment, normally I have them buy more of what it relates to but as I've transferred provider I got sent a cheque, all boosts savings 🤭
-- as it was pay in online, I get to keep the original cheque!

Slight change of plan today, I will get the skirting finished while the furniture is out; I can sit down and get the draft excluder fitted under it. The units and door are easy access and it makes sense to postpone them by a day.

Hope it's not raining tomorrow, if it is then I'm staying in!

TomBo got stuck in with painting today, I pitched in after cleaning the flecks off everything 😬
    All that's left to do:
    - paint one wall
    - paint ¹/⁶ ceiling
    - paint one skirting
    - top coat two skirting
    - buy more gloss
    - gloss lounge door
    - gloss unit doors
    - fit draft excluder
    - buy and fit door handle
    - fit unit door handles

I'm really not happy with how the unit doors currently look and hope to turn it around with branded gloss. Oddly enough they've had the same amount of gloss coats as the door frame and that looks fine!

In theory, three sessions could finish it all 😁

I'm aiming to start the 'porch' and hallway the weekend. All that's having is special paint on the inside of the front door / frame, gloss it and white paint the walls / ceiling, clean the woodwork.

Had the gas man come out. The meter is connected to the goods in the flat, it definitely isn't registered anywhere, but at some point will be and then I can pick a supplier 😃
-- No response to my second complaint to the alleged electric supplier.

Having a goulash / Bolognese type thing with pasta in a bit.

    Adventure day tomorrow!

Makes you wonder who is paying the gas bill?

No one is @savingholmes this property appears to have been having 'free' gas since the meter was changed years ago. It's classed as a sh1pp3rl3ss supplier and pops up in the energy section a couple of times a year when people find themselves in the same situation; I've read so many queries trying to help me solve my mystery.
-- When it's on the database money becomes due from that point onwards and I just pick a company.

Now, if I can get the alleged electric supplier to deal with the electric, I can relax. I am fully expecting to get the ombudsman involved.

I have photos of both meters from when I picked up the keys and there's money in the bank, increasing each month I'm not paying utilities.

I suppose I was asking in a roundabout way - why put the effort in to resolve the gas then?
