You probably won't want to hear it as inspirational people often find it annoying, but you really are inspirational. You can find two people in similar difficult health situations and one will focus on what they cannot do and the other will focus on what they can do. I think it helps that you have strong focus and are task orientated.
''Hope is free, as are dreams, plans, goals, inspiration and talking. Sharing ideas, hints, tips, seeking and offering guidance and support. Every one I read provides ideas, which I adapt to my circumstances. That's what I get out of diaries and I know you all do too.''

Thank you DIA and SH.
I am totally task / goal / target driven, without that I don't get things done. It's not annoying I find it embarrassing and go shy as I'm just me but know how inspirational posts are.
There seems to be a chain reaction within diaries. We 'see' someone doing something and it's a case of "I must do...." or "if she can do it, I wonder if I can find a way to do....." I've asked someone before how they do gardening and took on board every suggestion. Reading another where someone also had health issues doing decorating was the shove I needed to work out how I could. Reading about the 1p a day and 52 week savings challenges and trying them, was the way I learned to save when starting over; for me regularly saving is better than dropping money in once a month.
The written word is very powerful and gives us time to think about it. If one thing, one comment is that 'switch: to another person and they evaluate and adapt it to their life, it was worth making that post in the first place.
I've learned so much from others since joining, which in turn is enabling me to learn about me.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.7 -

As you have said you need to clear the air I hope nothing has been said that has upset you or made you feel the need to justify what you do or how much you do.I would hope we all know you push yourself to the limits and beyond at times and adapt how you do things to be able to do them. It’s all about living our best life, doing what we can and not laying down and giving up, all of which from reading your posts you do battle for on a daily basis. It helps me to read what you can achieve to push myself too.0% credit card £1360 & 0% Car Loan £7500 ~ paid in full JAN 2020 = NOW DEBT FREE 🤗

I will have to look for her SH, but you're my garden inspiration!
Skinty not as such, I had a mini worry someone would read my posts and potentially push themselves too far.
I also don't handle compliments about doing things when my health is how it is, felt myself getting even more embarrassed and shy reading replies, but I wanted to say the flip side is things I don't post in-depth about.
All in all, I was just being daft 😳Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.4 -
It’s probably a blooming miracle you do all the things you do and I think people realise that it takes a lot of effort. I hope you can come to accept the praise in the spirit it is meant ☺️ You are always helpful and supportive to us all !It’s easy for me to say I’m dashing about to the tip etc people think I’m superwoman but DS loads the car & the tip men mostly unload it. I just do the driving 😆0% credit card £1360 & 0% Car Loan £7500 ~ paid in full JAN 2020 = NOW DEBT FREE 🤗

It probably is, but it was very overwhelming; I thought of that word after posting last time and it's possibly a more suitable one ☺️-- perhaps my goal for next year is learn to take compliments 🤗
I do enjoy helping people. Perhaps that's my new strength and it's grown because of how I am. I've a lot of information stored in my head.
You know something Skinty, I believe you are right, we are all superwomen in our own way as it's not what we do, but how we do it!Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.3 -
Hey Babs
Caught up with your posts, in-between helping the parents, and really understand where you are coming from. Focusing on helping others takes your thoughts away from worrying about yourself/issues too much. Too easy then to let that drag you down.
It makes you step back, prioritise, and re-focus on where you are at. Keeps things in perspective, knowing that there are others struggling too, and then reaching out to others also enables you to receive that advice back on stuff you haven't thought about.
Like a continuous feedback-loop, all helping each other out, where we can, and finding it helps us too..... ooh, getting deep here.... ha!I now have an image of us all virtually holding hands across cyber-space, and, maybe singing that Gloria Gaynor song 'I will survive!'

Thanks Ren, I've done a lot of soul searching since moving, as have loads of people this year I imagine.
I've got flowing dresses and flowers images of us all and "we are family, da da daaa de do" looping in my head, perhaps I should listen to it and pick up the next line 😀
On a side note, I have been participating in m1ndfu11n3ss the last few weeks, which has helped me a lot. It's become my me time when I do absolutely nothing but relax. Best of all it doesn't cost anything.
Had a chat with TomBo yesterday, think I've managed to convince him this floor to ceiling bookcase we want isn't going to be a straightforward build; there's water pipes and things we will be hiding. I can get a few quotes, told him I will also get a quote for the built-in wardrobes but it won't be for a few years as I know it will be a few thousand. There's no point getting a carpenter in twice.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.2 -
I've put five coats of gloss on two units and the door frame. There's enough left to put a coat or two on the remaining unit.-- I'm going to buy a branded tin, the lounge door is too awkward to put loads of coats on it.
TomBo is having a decorating day tomorrow.
-- I will do more of the skirting and the remaining unit.
I'm looking forward to my day off, we are off out somewhere ☺️Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.1
