Haven't posted on here much as felt reasonably in control of things. Christmas didn't get out of hand and thought debt busting was going fairly well.
We have had a few mini crisises along the way, such as ill cat (fortunately insured), washing machine broke, car broke etc etc which has set me back a little but chin up and carry on.
Until last night, when DH (who has always placed the blame of debt at my door) admitted a slight CC debt - to the "slight" tune of £5,200.07 - which has been accrued over some time, which we are paying interest for etc etc
I am not exactly livid, but drained, fed up and despondent. This sets our DFD back 8 months. I am pleased he has told me, and given I hid my debt I have no room to speak but this is yet more debt to add to my signature  I am too tired to rant and rave, as he didn't do this when I had my LBM, so hopefully it can be onwards and upwards - AGAIN!
Fortunately I have a CC with enough credit to BT at 0% until October 2008 so I have done that this morning. He has to have a CC as he works abroad almost weekly and has to pay for flights, accomodation upfront etc and so we are adding him to one I have which has a 0 balance and I am in charge of paying etc so that this cannot happen.
So will have to go and adjust my sig shortly and my DFD
I have had a look at the CC statements and it has accrued over years and so no frivolous spending of money, just bits here and there that have added up and then interest etc.
Do you think I will now be able to get on with debt busting or will something else happen now.....................0 -
hello sweetheart, gosh that must be sooo disappointing for you after all your hard DFWing.
I think you've been walloped with a fair few hardballs lately but it seems asthough you may have had it all thrown at you at once and now the sky will clear leaving you with sunshine and blue skies.
I'm glad that OH felt he could "confess" to you, that must've been hard for him to do and a weight off his mind now it's done. DO you think that itis a sign he is sensing a flickering lightbulb in himself?
Sorry to hear you are feeling down, big big hugs and a natter on gmail if you are about.
Lots of Love

Thanks Honey, I took it far better than he thought I would and I am really, really hoping that this will be the end of any unknown debt.
He has a bonus coming up which we were going to divide between debt and house stuff, but now that will all go on the debt. I know theoretically as wages increase and nursery fees decrease we can put more towards the debt, but I just want to be debt free NOW not add another 8 months to when we will be. My dearest wish is when DS leaves primary school we have no debts and in a brilliant position, but that goal gets further and further away!
I am on gmail as I am doing !!!!!! all at work at the moment, so free for chat when you are about.
