Obsessed
I know not what you mean :rotfl:
Welcome back - good to see you again. For what it's worth, I have a secured loan on my house that I don't include in my sig. In the new year when I start my new chapter of my debt diary, I will be adding this in to my debt figure, with the intention of saving up and paying it off. This will bring my total figure back over £50k too, so you are certainly not alone!!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. Cheers Hypno - we can form the over 50's club then - so to speak0

I think I have an addictive personality, so while I probably spend far too much time on here, I have definately benefited. While I'm on here, I'm not spending on things I dont need. However, I am having to stay away from the sealed pot challenge. Too many lovely things that I would like to buy!!!0

Hi BA, we tried to look at some debts and not others but it doesn't really work, open and honest is that the best way to be especially among friends here.No longer using this account for new posts from 20130

Thank you Gem - that brought a tear to my eye and it is very true!0

HI BA :hello:,
Nice to see you back but totally understand about needing time away.
I pop on here less than I used to but the diaries and postings still give me a lot of support to be MSE even though they're not directed at me.
Best wishes for your new start

Absolute sod's law! All positive posting, looking ahead, money assigned to all the right places...............then DH calls! He is away and has just had the car broken into. He (completely foolishly) left his laptop, ipod and sat nav in the boot which has promptly been removed with a lot of damage left  I have told him sooooooo many times not to leave things in the boot, my friend bought me the sat nav as a gift for taking her to chemo and as daft as it sounds it had sentimental value.
We have £75 excess to mend the windscreen(s) and presumably further excesses for damage to car and items taken.
For once it my life I really can say to him I told you so.................ah well, onwards and upwards0 -
Oh no BA - what an awful thing to happen
Big hugs

Oh BA what bad news - won't the paid-up-front insurance cover all those things - obviously excepting the sentimental value.
I'm glad to see this thread as I too have debts not included in my sig and was thinking of taking those on board in 2008 as well. I owe £34,400 to my dad (interest free), plus am only paying interest only on our mortgage of £153k, which won't do.
So my debts dwarf your mere 54k.
Just let me get into 2008 before I add them to my sig though.
Do you know yet whether your job is secure for a while longer?Total debt: 1 January 2007 £[strike]49,387.79[/strike] 1 January 2012 £[STRIKE]19,312.85[/STRIKE] 1 August 2012 £11,517.620 -
Seaxwyn - you've cleared so much that I am sure that once you've clear the debts, you will overpay on the mortgage to cover these years of interest only. OH's pay will help for now eh?
BA - Will the ins cover the items - what is OH doing now? Is the car drivable?
