Any idea why this is ?
If I wait until the next collective deal on 12th September will this be too late to give notice on my EON account without getting charges etc ?
I hope you can help
I think the end date on the Cheap EC site is a guess as it was a collective switch open for a certain period of time. My date was out by a couple of weeks.... your energy supplier will have the correct date.Don't wait for your ship to come in, swim out to it.0 -

Are you sure about that date?
If you are within 49 days of the end of your contract then you are free to switch without paying exit charges.
You don't have to give any notice of your intention to switch. The new supplier will do that.Warning: In the kingdom of the blind, the one-eyed man is king.

Morning DaveAllan72 and welcome to the Forums.
Our date is the accurate one. As well as in the email you've received, if you've registered with our website, you'll be able to see it on there too. It's on the right hand side of the first page. It's also on your bills and in the Welcome Pack/tariff change letter or email sent when you first went on to the tariff.
As your current tariff ends on 15 September, you'll be in the Price Protection window. This is open 49 calendar days before the tariff ends until 20 working days after. During this time and provided we're told, we'll keep you on the same prices as now whilst a change of supplier goes through. Exit fees also don't apply when in this window. As Consumerist says, no need to contact us if you're changing supplier. The new supplier will do this.
You'll still be inside the window when MSE launch their new collective tariff. If you go for this and the account is applied for before the window closes, you'll be protected as above.
Hope this explains DaveAllan72. Let me know if you need any more details as happy to help.

Spot on littlemissbossy. The Cheap Energy Club estimate the end date as we don't share this with them. As above in reply to Dave Allan72, the date we advise will be accurate as it'll be based on when then the tariff started.
Hope you sorted out the end date for your tariff. Let me know if you need any details as happy to help.

My current energy supplier EON have contacted me saying my current tarrif ends on September 15th
When I logged into the MSE Club account it says my deal with EON runs until 26th October
I contacted EON who still said it is 15th September
I was hoping to wait until 12th September to see what the Club Collective can offer but will I be penalised by EON if I change so close to the end date
Or should I just change now to Southern Electric who are the cheapest deal currently ?0 -

Thanks Malc
So if I hold out for the Collective I should be able to change over without much hassle and incurring too many charges on an EON variable rate ??0 -

Absolutely DaveAllan72. Provided all goes as I posted above, you won't have any exit charges and will stay on your current prices until the supply end date.
Hope this helps. Let me know if you need any more information.
