Is there a reason why this EDF special tariff is not showing for me?
If you have EDF set as your current provider then it will not appear in the results.

If it's definitely not there for you, then almost certainly as KTF says.

The deal still is available (so the 25,000 limit not yet met)
Note the tariff is not avalable for gas only.

Depending on your own specific circumstances, (and you are not currently supplied byEDF) you may need to "See more results" to see it, as it's quite way down the list for me

Much as I have got a lot back from MSE I do not think they are being fair in energy comparisons
They do not completely compare your present deal with new tariffs
Instead they take your present deal until it finishes then they introduce a standard deal with same company for the rest of the year and compare that with new deals
This is easy to spot because the tariff deals per unit are more in the new deal than in your existing
They should at very least explain their comparison method
Otherwise customers could change to a a new deal which is more expensive than current tariff
    Come on MSE play fair

Unfortunately, they must use the method required by Ofgem.

I understand there is an option to compare the costs of the various tariffs on an annual basis. Perhaps, if you try again you might spot this option. I don't use MSE's energy comparison, myself, so I don't know for sure. Perhaps someone who uses it regularly can help further.

You can get the MSE to show the deals based against your current tariff.
When the results are shown, just click the words "Base you savings on this cost instead" in the "What you're currently Paying" box

Energy Saving Champion I've been Money Tipped!
In order to get a realistic comparison I usually input a date 1year in advance of current date, when asked when present deal expires. Seems to work every time for me.

There is, it was added last year, I think most comparison sites have that option now.

Most of them don't give that option, they ask you to specify your current tariff and the system already knows the date that it finishes.
  • I've just bought my first home but can't do a comparison as don't know useage, only previous supplier?!

How should I use an energy supplier? Thanks! :)

Always a problem moving into new property.

As a starting point, you could use <Ofgem's Typical Domestic Consumption Values> for the first year and then adjust for actual usage in the following year.

Good luck with your first home. :)

  • EON have contacted me saying my current deal on the Club collective ends on 15th September, when I login to the this site it says my deal ends 26th October.

Any idea why this is ?

If I wait until the next collective deal on 12th September will this be too late to give notice on my EON account without getting charges etc ?

    I hope you can help
