Just so you know, I believe the earlier posts were referring to an illustrative example of how we calculate and review DD payments & your actual payments will be based on your personal projection, which you'll find just about the tariff terms & conditions. Cheers, Matt
Thanks Matt,
Sorry, I was obviously reading more into it than I should have.
Anyway, I got my acceptance from British Gas yesterday, and yes, I can see that the £90/£100 which others have mentioned is very clearly just an example of how somebody's payments may vary if their usage of energy might not be exactly what they thought it was, and I really don't see why there has been any confusion.

We are lucky enough to have a holiday home and I would like to change the supplier there too (to the latest BG offer to Feb 17) but when I try to do so after logging in, I can't change the address of the supply. Computer says no!
Is there a phone number I can ring to do it or please suggest how else I could achieve this.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the In My Home MoneySaving, Energy and Techie Stuff boards. I am currently with OVO with one of their smart meters (which does not work online so I can not actually view my usage)
If I swap over to British Gas does anybody know how long it would take for them to swap the meters over to their smart meter?0 -

No, but surely it would be simple to ask British Gas !!"0844 COSTS YOU MORE"0 -

I am... There is a British Gas rep on here.... and don't call me Shirly.
Also what British Gas say and what happens may not be the same. It is nice to get the view of people that may have been in this situation themselves."0844 COSTS YOU MORE"0 -
@alipali9
Well I just changed via the CEC from eon to eon in October and I'm expecting my cash back soon. I had no issues and the change in tariff happened within a few days.
I now notice there is a better deal npower to npower with cec I think I will do the same for another cash back :j0 -

As I had no idea there was a BG rep on this forum, I was replying in good faith. As this is a money saving site I was bemused by the question. Sorry about the mistake in the name I can see it is actually Surly.
No problem sir (or madam?) the BG Rep posted a few above me.
Obviously never seen the film Airplane? My comment was made in jest :beer:0
