  • I have switched via CEC using another email address, and contacted the provider who I was switching to, to cancel. (I also contacted CEC to request my pending switch be cancelled, and my status be updated.)

I wanted to make sure I got the collective switch deal!

    Thank you for your help...

    Now I'm confused.

I've just logged in to CEC using my other email address (the one to which I was sent the switch confirmation this morning) and there's no mention of a switch in progress. Am I switching or not? CEC recommend waiting for the supplier to contact you so I don't know the status of any potential switch using CEC...

    Any advice?

It would seem that CEC have cancelled your switch as you requested.

If you initiated another switch using a different email address then you should check on the progress of that switch.

There's no switch showing with my other email address! I had the 'thank you for switching' email yesterday morning, but there's no switch in progress on CEC. I am in limbo, it would seem...

In the normal course of events you might expect to hear from the new supplier fairly soon but since you have switched in a collective, I have no idea how long it might take to hear anything. It might help if you contacted CEC again to confirm what is going on.

For what it's worth, I did an e.on collective switch via CEC on 4 November, and there was a follow-up standard welcome email from e.on on 7 November.

I switched about 2 weeks ago via CEC. Got a CEC email immediately but nothing from EON.

Is there a forum where I can ask about energy suppliers.I have just been given some information which I think is incorrect by someone from Scottish Power and would like to ask a quesion on MSE.
  • Consumerist I am already on spark and I used the ceo website to see if i Icould get a cheaper deal. For me spark energy were 10% cheaper than the best deal on offer there. I think that to say that the deals negotiated are the cheapest is therefore misleading. Out of interest I tried lower usage levels than mine and And ALWAYS spark was cheapest
Neither do they lock you in

Not sure how you find Spark so much cheaper
GAS E.on Standing charge 22.00 per day 3.5p kwh
Spark Standing charge 20.00 per day 4.39p kwh
    Electric E.on 16.42 per day 11.35p kwh
Spark 14.00 per day 14.7p kwh
On Standing charges spark is cheaper but much more expensive on usage
