  • Just changed suppliers from Scottish Power to E-On through topcashback. E-on says cashback is £55 for dual fuel but it is only tracking at £30. Anyone else confused by this or am I reading it wrong?

A few comments saying that: http://www.topcashback.co.uk/retailersextraseon-domestic.htm

Best bet is to ask your question here and you should get a reply from topcashback: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/2001709

I've also had problems with Topcashback not paying the amount that's supposed to be paid.

Anyone else found that they advertise more than they actually pay?

If I then wanted to change suppliers, to get a cheaper supply rate during the day or night or both, would my FiT cause extra problems?

As above!! you are damaging the environment and ripping off virtually everyone in the country if you go for Solar PV. JB

I have always wanted to be a farmer - up to now I could not afford to buy a farm, I've only got half an acre and a few vegetables - here is my opportunity to do what farmers do - capture sunlight and get paid a subsidy for doing so (actually land owners don't even have to produce anything they get the same subsidy for the daughter's pony paddock).

I do hope you and your family are writing a stiff letter to your MP to complain about the 2% VAT levy that is being given to land owners.

Are you getting value for money?

Can I have my 50 pounds a year back now please - I cut my hedges, feed my birds, and even have dug a pond now full of newts.

scottish power to eon. any tips/recommendations. only tried moneysupermarket and did rough estimate of an old jan 2009 bill. would that be sufficient or any recommendations. it is really worth trying all the comparison sites for this? thanks in advance.

I looked at USwitch and found that Scotish Power would save me a lot on a dual switch plus £7 cashback via Greasy Palm, when I checked Greasy Palm I could earn £50 cashback for going direct to Scotish Power them than using USwitch!!!!!:p Always check your cashback/point sites for special offers too.

With British Gas you need to be sure you can get out .. otherwise you'll subsequently be tied in to a rate of THEIR choice for at least a year.

I think, for the sake of clarity to others, that you should have explained you are a business customer.

As explained to you in your thread on this matter, rules for business customers are different to those for residential customers ... and as such the way BG have treated you is not particularly different to the way any other supplier would treat you as a business.

  • Hallo

Probably a silly question but I am with Eon (energy online) and wish to fix (Fix online 8 is available with Eon and looks good). Can I get a cashback when I am not changing provider but just tariff?

    Thank you

Almost certainly not, I'm afraid. I don't know of any cashback that would be available for a switch to another product with the same company.

British gas business? Looks like business as usual to me.
If I had called in cowboys I would have been blaming myself thinking I brought it on myself but with this experience of mine, I believe BG are the biggest COWBOYS in town and sadly are getting away with it!!!!

I have taken five days off work in total and still no joy with BG.

I don't know who else to call but now phoning round friends for a recommended plumber/Corgi registered person I can ask to come help fix my boiler. I will never have anything to do with BG again and would like to complain to whoever governs them which I think is Offgas but couldn't find where to complain on their site..... HELP!!!!
As a new user I can't post a link to the source - please PM me for this.
  • Hi, I wonder if anyone can help me.

I've been trying to get a quote for EON fix online v8 but everytime I put in my address it goes to another page and asks me to call them. I could see my address from the the drop down menu but everytime I select it then that error comes up 'Sorry, we're unable to provide you with a quote for your energy needs at the present time. Please visit our site again soon, or call us for a quote on 0800 056 8499'. But if I enter a different housenumber on the same street then it works.

    Can anyone please help?
