I would like to point out to the OP that some of us real saddos who have no life actually reorder the board by number of replies and look at the ones with no responses......:D

I am really annoyed by this. Okay, so RL has left me in a somewhat careworn mood but I'm going to post it anyway.


If somebody doesn't like the way this board operates they can go elsewhere. And yes, that includes me if personal posts are ever banned. What's more, I'll go. I go far out of my way to help people here, as do 99% of the other regulars. I have sometimes spent HOURS researching a problem so that I can understand it and help someone in need. I do so partly because of the warm fuzzy glow, but in all honesty it's becuase of something else. It's because I also get the mutual support, social interaction and LAUGHS that I do, often from the person I was initially trying to help. Often I learn something from new people. Hell, I was one myself once! But if these things go, then my advice might do too. Because there are lots of outlets for advice but not many for this level of support.

On this board we will help you to the best of our ability. This doesn't mean that we have an obligation to drop everything for you or keep the board free of everything else so we call roll the red carpet out for you. If everyone here lurked for info that would help them whilst conducting 'idle chat' elsewhere there wouldn't be a whole lot of information left for us to lurk over. Some people treat this board as if all us regulars are data retrieval systems for their own private use. This does NOT mean that we are the ones in the wrong. Nor does it mean that people with genuine need should, or so far as I ever know are, be ignored.
