Okay, I have been away and counted to 10.......:o

Wilf, that's exactly the right thing to do. Sometimes, particularly if you post a complicated, specialised or in depth question, there may only be a small number of people who know the answer, and those people might not be online. We do try to keep new threads bumped until they have had some answers, but on a busy forum, inevitably some do get missed. But a gentle bump back to the top is usually all that is needed.

  • Have to laugh that at last, I get to be a socialise, even if just an MSE one! Forumman I can only assume from your post count that MSE doesent play a huge part in your life, and please feel free to correct me if I've got that wrong. However, for some of us (the nes you would call socialites) MSE plays a huge part in our every day life. Pretty much daily there are "in big truble, help" posts which some of try to take the time to answer but in addition there are people who post support to each other regularly in the long jurney to becoming debt free. Genuine friendships are formed in the process. I do think that like any community it takes time to get to know people. You wouldnt expect to walk into a room of strangers who are mixing with friends and be best buddies would you? No different on an online community! Why not take the time to get to know people & take time to get to know us rather than slating us because you didnt get a response to your question quickly enough? It is a popuar & fast moving forum so just bump the thread if it goes missing to get it back to the top again!

  • We try to be stuntman but it is fast moving so people, esp newbies can feel very lost sometimes and I do appreciate the frustration of the OP but from what I can see forumman you have been given quite a bit of info so I am unsure what the gripe is? If you want more help just bump the thread...also wouldnt do you any harm to use the thanks button occasionally! People have after all taken the time to offer you some useful advice/information...

  • Have to agree with Toto. We covered this same topic a few weeks ago. Why not let it rest for a bit. I enjoy all of the forum and if I do not want to read something i do not click on the thread.

  • I agree with Numpty, don't fix it unless it's broke!
I've had great support from others on here & have hopefully encouraged others or tried to give any advice I could.
I've learnt about things by reading peoples diarys like quidco etc & by reading peoples soa's & the comments given by others to reduce things on them, so I really think the diarys are important, for the people posting them & the people reading/replying to them, some of them are just plain inspirational.
