Yes, ring her EVERY Thursday, ask her if a house has come up for you yet. I have found that constantly reminding people of your circumstances (the right people!) will get you better results, as you will be on their mind a bit more than the person who sits and waits. Unfair I know, but being "pushy" can get you a long way in today's society.

Say that you would like a home visit asap to discuss your circumstances - that way they can actually see for themselves how you're living. Either fax the letter or take it to the housing office on a Tuesday (my council scans all letters, so the staff don't actually see them for at least a day) - address it to her and to her manager, so that if one is away the other will see it. Then ring up & leave messages for them both to let them know you've sent the fax or left the letter at the office, & ask for a call back once they've read it. If you've got a colour printer & a digital camera, take pictures of any areas affected by damp or mould, & print them off - give them to the housing officer to take with her for your file, & ask to have your case re-assessed.
Thanks for that but she has been here several times and seen the problems. The mould on my childrens things, the mould on the walls etc. She's arranged for various experts to look at it.
I am having a meeting to asses my health problems with my OT, Dr and the other health proffesionals who help me on the 17th Dec so we will see if they can bring yet more pressure to bear.BSCno.87The only stupid question is an unasked oneLoving life as a Kernow Hippy0

If its your lifestyle (ie 5 people breathing in the overcrowded, cramped accommodation) thats causing the damp can you press that point with her and get your medical people to stress that too? Good luck I know its not easy but I agree with everyone else 'he who shouts loudest gets heard' or whatever the expression is.

Tigerfeet that sounds like a good course of action, i've had help from the OT's myself as well as outside agencies so i'll try cross what I can to help you get things moving soon, reports from OT GP etc will help towards everything, ring the housing office every thursday eventually they'll offer you something to get rid of you! :rotfl: , i've been put on something similar to what scarlett has mentioned but thanks to a housing !!!! up i'm down as general needs not disabled as promised BUT thanks to an outside agency i'm working on it now, BH your lucky sat in your house with everything around you, your DH is lucky that you stick around my OH left me a few months ago after my bankruptcy to cope with everything on my own and with my circumstances being the way they are its easier said than done...many days I feel the world would be a better place without me but something always gets me moving...maybe its sparring with you that keeps me going? but I cope...just but I cope...just

            Thanks Phil ((((hugs)))
Hopefully having all my health care professionals in the same room for my yearly apraisal they can come up with a plan of action.
I've looked at the Shelter site and it does look as if we are not classed as over crowded  . I will have to go and measure the size of our rooms.
