    As long as you are satisfied that the old address is suitable as an address for service, for you to see the letters quickly (so there is no possibility of you MISSING defending a court clim in time!) then leave the address as it is.

    It is fine, for now. I go to my parents once every 2-3 weeks. If I need to see these letters quicker, then I'll probably have to ask them to change the address.
    Certainly complain to whoever runs the place, manager, landowner/landlord. One of them appointed the scammer and can call their dogs off.

    Will do that, thanks. Fingers cross that they will call these dogs off.

    And please do let happen what happened to one recent poster where post was delivered to his parents' address and his parents unilaterally decided to deal with it for him. Complete screw up! :doh:
    It's a £100 request addressed under my name, knowing my parents very well they won't do that. :p However they will BUG me to pay it off.

    !!!!!!???
    On Monday 4th November (5 days ago) I got an e-mail and letter about the adjudicators decision (and my appeal was rejected)...and you can see it on the opening post....

    And on the SAME day, I get a letter from Trace Debt Recovery in the mail now asking for £160.

    As you can see on the opening post, they say I have 28 days to pay £100 before they take it to debt collectors, but it's clear they went to the debt collectors before responding to my appeal.

    What the heck is going on??

    Just the everyday normal incompetence.
  • So if for example I just want to pay up now...I have to pay £160? When I just got an e-mail/letter from UKPCM that I have 28 days to pay £100?

    This is criminal, I shouldn't be paying a penny to these lot in the first place.

    Complain to the DVLA. State in your complaint you have no confidence in the IPC's internal complaint system as you are aware of their reputation for not addressing complaints.

    But you don't want to pay up right now, or at all. So forget the latest letter unless you want to confirm your actual new address for service in case of concerns about the family paying the scam (as letters are scary...not).
    PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

    I'm back!
    So a year later, I received a letter before claim. I sent a personal data request/SAR to UKPCM requesting the data they hold on me.

    Three things though.
    1. We are out of the EU January 1st. Therefore GDPR is no longer valid. Does that mean they can wait until the turn of the year and say GDPR is no longer in force hence, not giving me all the data they have on me?
    2. Gladstones has given me 30 days to respond before the probably moving forward and make a claim. UKPCM has a month to respond. What if UKPCM responds on the 30th day? Or this is irrelevant?
    3. It says I must write another e-mail after sending the SAR if they are using Gladstones...but to who? Their DPO? And what should I write on the e-mail? This?
    =====
    (a) I am seeking debt advice but I deny any debt and the case must be put 'on hold' for not less than 30 days under the PAP for debt claims 2017.
    (b) I have sent your client a SAR
    (c) also confirm your correct 'address for service' if you've moved and the PPC has two addresses.
    =====
    Thank you! :)

    Ha ha. Is it April 1st already?

    You seem to think everything changes in five days time.
    Here's some news for you... we left the EU nearly a year ago - on 31st January 2020.

    The Data Protection Act 2018 incorporates all the GDPR stuff.

    Maybe change as above, YOU are writing to THEM as YOU.

    Yeah but to who? Their DPO or to their enquiries team?
