Leviathan it's good that you're acknowledging the free, expert help on here and you're so right about fighting the scam and us all being in it together.  As a long time reader of this board, I don't think the regular advisers are prickly; they get asked the same questions numerous times every hour, in spite of their step by step guides.  They are guardians of the rule of law and against the rising tide of abuse, brought on by improper understanding of rights and responsibilities on this area of the law.  Long may their public- spirited push continue! Humdinger
Humdinger.  And I agree with you.  I get it!  But it would also be worth remembering how unskilled and unfamiliar the vast majority of Joe Blogs is with this topic and this site.  The language and protocols take time to LEARN, with repeated instruction.  Do kids learn their A,B,C with one look at a reading book?  No they don't.  It takes months of patient TEACHING.  Do you shout at them for not already knowing the basics?  No you don't, because you're the adult.  So when folk are burnt out on here, I would really recommend that they take a step back and understand that ignorance is not personal and to look after themselves more, rather than taking it out on innocent people who are just desperately looking for help and guidance.  It's not necessary.  The culture of language is set by everyone who uses this site and we're all on the same side, we're on the same team.  So a little bit of kindness goes a long way and it starts with self-care and a commitment to using patient, adult language.

If this as as cut and dried as it appears, I am puzzled why the WS rivals War and Peace in length.  Have you complained to your MP?
The VCS bundle is 61 pages long, their WS had 61 points. Version 1 of my WS had just 7 points (on page 7) and CM suggested it should be longer lol!  I've needed to go through this process of reading, re-reading to fully understand the arguments anyway.  My MP was Jared O'Mara so completely AWOL.  I emailed Olivia Blake when she took over last year, but she was in the middle of changing offices at the time and we never heard back.

    51. At the time of the parking incident, any contract to park would have been between Excel Parking Services Ltd, the name of the company on the signs, and the driver.  Therefore the Claimant has not suffered from any breach of contract as they were never a party to the contract. Vehicle Control Services Ltd, the Claimant, has no claim.
    Thanks Keith, will amend!

    Looking good.

Did you do a (signed & dated) Summary Costs Assessment too, breaking down your time spent on each letter, at £19 per hour LiP rate, plus your printing and postage costs, and your potential hearing in person costs?
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Name:  XX  Claim Number:  XX  Court Hearing date: XX

    CONTENTS

    Pg 1       Defence

    Pg 3       Witness Statement

    Pg 11     Exhibits

    Pg 28     Summary Costs Assessment

Have used coloured page markers to mark the sections.  Made sure witness statement was signed & dated (!).  Same with SCA.  Clearly marked with name, claim number, court hearing date and also 'Witness statement of Defendant' so it gets filed in the right place.  Posted at court post box.  So let's see what happens next!!  Phew.  Cheers everyone!!

And thanks to you Fruitcake, for your detective work on signage and directors not being directors at the time of signing contracts, making them invalid. Must have taken a lot of hard work!  Didn't really understand what it was you were trying to tell me in the beginning re signage, but I get it now.  Hope it comes across in the WS!  :D
