CCL - You probably already know this, but I didn't so I'll post it just in case. When we had a cat flea problem, we did all the usual stuff..... treated the cat, sprayed pet bedding & favourite places to sit & vacuumed regularly. What we wouldn't have thought to do, had we not been advised to do so, was to empty the vacuum each time & actually spray the insides to blitz any flea eggs.
Fingers crossed we haven't had a problem for a while.

    Better get on.

1LL my immune system is none existent so I knew when DD went down with the bug it was coming my way as well!
Hoping ur lower back has settled down. It sounds really painful :(

Bagpuss I find if I can get presents done and wrapped it takes the pressure off, especially as a few get delivered early before Christmas. Can then just enjoy the season as DD is Christmas mad

CCL boo to the flea problem. It's my worst nightmare. Only had it once years ago at my mums home. It was a lot of stress and work

    Yesterday cat 1........vet 0
No extra costs. This puss cat is 20 and has lost a lot of weight but we've decided to just give her a very comfortable life as there is no way we could administer meds and I would hate her getting stressed out and me injured every day!
She was in a feisty mood yesterday, going for the vet twice. DD was mortified but puss cat was having none of it. My DM has her son, he is 18 and the last of the litter alive. He seems to have his mums constitution and fighting spirit and the poor vet deals with him as well!

    Banking all checked, everything good.
Started on paperwork very early this morning, don't know why I've started to attack it so early but feel better for doing it.
Just about to work on Christmas dinner order specifics.
Going to continue with the backlog of washing.
    More paperwork
No meeting tonight, tomorrow morning instead.

    Right off to check quidCo

Good luck for today DNMS. Hopefully they can get an idea of what has been going on and also put ur mind at rest a little
Have a great day everyone x

    Afternoon all.

Dnms, hope the appointment goes well.
HK, I did chuckle about your cats!

    Todays list
    * went to the gym, spoke to the trainer who told me not to even attempt the class this morning but sent me off to do some stretches instead (most of them are what I'd been doing myself anyway but there were two I'd not done so I've added them in now)
    * home via aldee - stuck to my list apart from a pack of grapes that they had reduced.
    * my dad called in, so made us an omelette using up the end of old packs of spinach and ham. Was lovely to have a 1-2-1 catch up. (seeing him again later but it will be with the kids then!)

    Still to do
    * put washing away off the radiators
    * make families lunches for tomorrow done
    * check banking/update spreadsheet
    * get all the shopping put away (I was about half way through when my dad came!! any excuse!) done
    * once the kids are home, get them changed and out of the door as quick as we can, we are heading to my parents house so that we can watch the main firework display over the bay from their balcony, (parking later will be a nightmare so want to get to theirs as early as we can) My dads made a big batch of stew to go with dumplings for us all later and I'll take some stewed berries & apple to go with custard for dessert
    * make sure I leave some food prepped at home in case dh doesn't make it to my parents, he doesn't think he'll get out of work in time to make it for the display :(done
    * start writing up a list of things we want an electrician for in the house - as I know we need to get him in for something soon may as well make sure I don't think of something else after he's gone like last time! done

    Thats it. Stay safe all.
