  • Morning all,

Frosty here too, I have put the heating on. I fell asleep at 7.30 last night, must have needed it! DH is on a wood chopping mission this morning (well, he will be when he gets out of bed!), kiddies swimming lessons, dog walking, perhaps dinner out, all part of the plan.

Off to put the washing on the line to air and toast a bagel. Have fab days all x

    Morning :hello:

I got up, washed and dressed, and researched same day exhaust fitters in the area over my first cuppa (as you do :D ) We usually use the village garage but they have to order everything in and, as they close at lunchtime today, that wasn't an option. Bleary eyed DS staggered down at 8.20 am and was promptly asked to ring a firm in steel-town. 'Bring it in mate and we'll have a look'.

Freezing fog here - so we scraped the ice off both cars and tootled off to steel-town. Result: DS's car has been left, they will order the part and fit today :D Mum's taxi tootled home via Mr C00p and I'm now supping a second brew and I've had toasted plum loaf for breakfast.

Not exactly the start I was expecting to my weekend. I've made my bed and fed the birds - that is more usual :D

Sanity list never did get written last weekend and it's been another insane week. Two colleagues (at different times) told me they had never heard me swear before :rotfl: They have now!!! :D

Next job will be to bring down the laundry hamper, sort the washing and set the first load swishing.

    Hugs to all.

    Morning all.

Chilly here too. DH lit the fire last night which I argued was totally unnecessary but actually may not have been.

The usual wm and HHI have been seen off. I have a pile of seed packets to sort out on the kitchen table - I may just have over ordered. Then I have some Swedish furniture to build and start researching cars , insurance and the such like [STRIKE]for[/STRIKE] with DD. I hate sorting my own so I’m not going to do it all for her without any input from her. She doesn’t know that yet....

Round - have written my sanity list for the weekend. The trouble is that none of the above was on it!

  • I received specific instructions to just stay in bed until he gets back from work today. Got up at 8, anyway - but don't actually remember hearing the alarm, so that makes a change.

I've done a washload, but he did actually clean up after cooking last night and did all his washing/hung it up. Also sloshed some Zoflora around the shower room, but I'm very much remaining static for the next couple of hours.

    Afternoon all

Late in for me! DH and I went out and ran some errands this morning. Food shop done and put away, last night after paid stuff I scrubbed the bathroom and mopped the floor, dusted and hoovered the top floor so that gave us a head start on today.

It was freezing here this morning but now it’s wet again, yet another day of drying washing indoors, I stripped the bed this morning so the hamper is full again, one load of towels washed and another load swishing now but that will have to be it as nowhere left to dry it.

DH is just hoovering the lounge, I’m going to tackle the kitchen.

    Back later x

    Hello ladies!

Just having a sit down by the woodburner in the lounge with a large G&T. We've had snow today (makes a change from rain), so I've been pottering about not doing much except some ironing and making bread.

Ooh, I did declutter a snooze earlier...
  • Dammit, dammit, dammit.

Dropped my phone for the millionth time onto the bathroom floor and it's smashed. Then I had to find a cheap enough replacement and endure the computerised ffffffffwittery of the now ex supplier insisting I respond to a security code sent to the phone to end the contract when THE PHONE IS BROKEN. And then give them security information as held on my online account which I can't access on my laptop without a - that's right - code sent to the phone THAT IS BROKEN.

Forty minutes later, my contract is cancelled. But my blood pressure is still sky high and Himself is plying me with tea and chicken nuggets in an attempt to distract me.
