Welcome back Dizzy
Hugs to all those feeling bleugh, I can tell you that you will be feeling better soon because seemingly all the BDs have migrated and are sitting in my garden. Autumn blues? Too much socialising (which would usually be pleasant, but when I'm in this sort of mood all I can see is funerals, bereaved friends, worrying about how I would cope if I was in that position, social events often mean I manage to consume food I'm intolerant to so that makes me feel worse, means I get behind with writing reports etc.).
Breathe. Having cancelled aquafit this morning owing genuinely to a swollen/bruised knee I tried not to feel guilty. So determined to pick something up out of the mess I have:
- put away everything in clean wash basket
- cleared a bit in bedroom
- arranged leftover flowers from an arrangement I did for a friend's birthday. That had the added bonus of making me remove 2 vases of dead flowers from the lounge plus now means I don't have a bucket of leftover flowers in the kitchen.
- put DW on
- put away a few things in the kitchen.
- filled bird feeders.
Right if I've done anything else I don't need to waste time telling you as I've got half an hour to label up today's paperwork and hopefully write a few more lines on an ongoing report.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.0 -
Afternoon all
Hugs to those in need and GWS to any poorlies.
Morning of paid stuff done, not very productive as I’m cold... I’ve just put the heating on for a bit!
WM run this morning and it’s on the airer
Dry laundry folded/put away as needed
Bedroom aired and bed made
Just going to s/s the bathroom and will do a quick vac of the top floor and top flight of stairs before I have some lunch. That should warm me up a bit!
Meetings this afternoon then aiming for an earlyish finish if I can, I have a couple of errands to run time permitting, if not they can wait until tomorrow and I think I will do some clothes sorting, I have far too many and the wardrobe is overfilled... and I don’t wear half of it!!0 -
Good afternoon
I have been working this morning. I managed to hoover downstairs and walk the dog before I started. I have a break now until the school run, so I have let the dog out, cleaned the high chair & swept the kitchen. All toys put away - I think I will get the girls to paint some Poppy rocks after school if they want to. They can take them to the local war memorial then if they like.
I have updated my list, but haven't got much further than that!
((Hugs)) to those that need it0 -
Just popping in quickly as I forgot my gym stuff this morning when I went to work so have rushed home to get it and find a baby doll for one of my colleagues groups. Just having a quick drink then back for a private lesson (adult) and then on to gym. Not been for ages but actually quite looking forward to it.
Hope to fly more tomorrow.
Today I have made my bed, sorted post.
Tomorrow is a new day0 -
(((Hugs))) Narco.
Everything that was to be painted now has been. The letterbox and door knocker look fabby. I soaked them in vinegar for an hour (they were really, really bad; it shouldn't have been for more than 30 mintues) and then polished them with a mix of a very old tin of Brasso that apparently cost 25p and Silver Glit that was almost bone dry! The Brasso was probably my mother's (or OH's mother) and had gone thin, and a funny colour but they look fab now they're back on the door against the very shiny Chelsea Blue gloss.
The house is grubby but I can't vacuum or dust until the top coat of paint has dried. Shame ....Better is good enough.0 -

Morning all
Hugs Narco xx
Still feel low and the weather really isn't helping, going to work though. Full face of make up on. DW to be put on before we go.
Happy Thursday xx0 -
Late start for me today as I treated myself to a lie in. Turned the alarm off last night and actually slept until 7.45 so feeling quite human. Not working until this evening so will be fluttering around the house all day.
WM on
Just having cuppa then on to HHC, many I hope
Sorry so many of you are suffering.
Help yourselves to sticks and spoons
See you later0 -
Back again as it's coffee time.
Struggled to really get going and felt I was picking at bits here and there but lo and behold the kitchen is now looking like it could be nice again with not too much work. Basically I've put things away, loaded DW, taken rubish and recycling out and used up veg in something that I hope will be edible (potatoes, courgettes and goats cheese gratin). WM on again and 1st load in TD.
Oh yes, I did an end of training report and phoned my boss to arrange some new dates. Both things I oftern put off until they become frogs!
Also phoned decorators to give them the date when pellet stove being fitted so they can plan me in to finish decorating that room.
Pellet stove also cleaned and reloaded.
Bed made
Writing it down has made me realise I wasn't as lazy as I was telling myself I was. Why do we beat ourselves up so hard?
Off to change batteries in stove remote control and reprogram heating as I think it's on for too long.0
