Afternoon all...
Quick post from me to say my Middle room is looking lush, smells nice, has been de-webbed, hoovered, dusted and leather sofas cleaned. I have shut the door, so no pesky muddy-pawed pooches can ruin it for a few hours!
I must be the only person I know who loves autumn and winter - the dark morning and evenings mean cosy fires, blankets and comfort food. Summer weather makes me hot and bad tempered. Tiny must take after me as he never wears long sleeves or trousers, just Tshirts and shorts all year round. Teachers at school say they think he has anti-freeze for blood
However big hugs to those with the black dogs visiting...send them over to me for some doggy daycare0 -
Dizzy, I love Autumn/winter too.. lovely fluffy warm jumpers and socks and boots and snuggly blankets and all the warms... not so good that it has rained constantly almost for 5 weeks though.. bit sick of that now and would rather love to be able to get the washing outside to dry or at least air a bit!
Boog gone for interview as a trainee payroll/admin so fingers crossed he gets that.. still struggling to get him anything andI am 7 days past my deadline for him having a job.. and I am supposed to be sorting DS2 out now and I can't!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
Afternoon all
Just back in from work. I had to do extra as I was so behind what with half term and everything, despite keeping my head down and going as fast as I could.
En-suite cleaned, wm x1 and dw emptied before I went. I’ve just put a second load in the wm, but the guag to clean the bathroom seems to be eluding me atm.
Another one here who prefers autumn over summer. Give me fluffy socks and a scarf any day. Not so fond of snow and ice though, so you can keep that.

Hi all
Just finished paid stuff, I’ve done the dailies and sorted 2 bags of clothes to go to charity shop, wardrobe still pretty full but at least not overflowing now!
I still have a bit more sorting to do, probably next week now as I need to fit some hooks to hang some things that were shoved in a box.
I have some of a course to do this evening, the deadline is approaching fast, am kicking myself that I haven’t got it done before but hey ho! I am going to do some supper now and then get my head down to it for a while.
Have a nice evening all x0 -
Sorry I struggle with winter. It's not the temperature but the daylight, I am much more productive in the morning but I find it so much harder to get up when it is dark. If it's light I get on and do things before I go to work, but in the winter it's all I can do to drink my coffee. I do love winter food and cozy evenings, it would be fine if I didn't have to get up in the dark.
3rd load of washing in TD
Work finished for the week, and Monday is a public holiday!
OH back from travels tomorrow evening so I'm picking him up at the airport and heading off for a long weekend.
DD2 birthday will be celebrated when we see her this weekend, actual day is Wednesday next week but she will be at uni and us at work 700 miles apart
Off to do HHI before calling it a day0 -

I'm having the morning struggle already.. not helped by the fact I've felt like faeces the last 10 days so super tired. I don't think I've done anything productive for years anyway.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
Morning all
V quick one from me, off to work, TFI Friday. Beds made, WM on, DW on. Car was repaired yesterday so awaiting the bill, almost want to get it so we can pay it and move on.
Happy Friday all xx0 -
Morning
Up, showered, dressed and now having breakfast
WM on
Bathroom cleaned
Bed made
Kitchen is nice and tidy (i'd forgotten I'd cleared up last night so a lovely surprise)
Bins, general and recycling went out full last night something I find strangely satisfying. I hope more is leaving the house than is entering.
Home all day so hoping to fly.
Porridge eaten, kettle on for another coffee so off to reload DW0 -
Good morning
I am grumpy this morning. DH is sulking/in a grump because he went shopping on his way home last night and I didn't know! DS was also in, he told me there was a lot of traffic (they had come on the same main route) and he had left MIL later than hoped. So now he is sulking! I'm not a mind reader!! He makes me feel guilty because he has just got in from 'work', even though I know he has spent about 2 hours sitting at his mum's being fed tea & sausage rolls! :rotfl:
So I have emptied & restacked the DW, walked the dog and had breakfast. I am working from 9am. I need to wash up the rest of the pots & do the Friday money juggle. I may potter about while LO is playing/napping. No painting today!!
have a good day everyone!0
