  • Tired, very tired. Back at docs with DS1, nothing really can be done but it was reassuring to get him checked out. Long day at work too.

Have changed DSs sweaty sheets and tucked him back in, lots of washing, could do with a dry breezy day to get some of it dry. Kitchen tidied, wont be late to bed.

Sorry you are still feeling bleugh pigpen I hope you feel better soon.

Not much flying done today, except cleaning the bath - after having to hose down a small child after he had lots of fun ‘exploring’ paint :rotfl::rotfl: He seemed to prefer using his body as a canvas! We started off with a fireworks and a bonfire picture, so he ended up with his hands, feet and the entire length of his legs painted in mainly red tones - the bathroom looked like a murder scene! :rotfl:

I am now off to the land of nod!

Morning all...I'm up and at them early as usual...

Still pumping water from both our wells to keep the ground water near the house lower than the floors inside ( you step down into our house at the back) to avoid another incident of paddling around the place.

The Middle room is my target today - got an early day boarder arriving at 7.30am and my hair still looks like I've been pulled through a hedge backwards, so must crack on. Catch up in a while x

Not a lot achieved yesterday afternoon / evening. I did get a few bits for a “do” that DH wants to host in a couple of weeks using a Mr W voucher that handily arrived in the post.
I’ve just done QHI - emptied a bin liner from the RoD which has some winter clothes of mine in. They’ve all been through a quick wash to freshen them up, some have gone to the cs, the remaining bits have been ironed and now take up far less room. They will be out if they don’t get worn.
It’s a full day at work and I’m taking DD to school on my way which means that I won’t get to the f&v market as planned. Humph.
Off to change our bedding now for the wm before I have to leave.
Have a lovely day all. Hope all poorlies feel better soon.

Going into work a little earlier today as I need to photocopy PTA receipts - I discovered they go white after a while as they're heat printed not ink. Want to turn DR round first.

And I left the laptop lead there, which meant I had to stop the accounts work. Good job I have the I pad.

Changed my bed last night - so got one sheet plus pillowcases washed. And dried. Ran DW too.

Have let bunnies out as it's dry but frosty.

Not feeling so good today, really down. I get like this sometimes, I think it's triggered by DH telling me he has to work all weekend then away until Christmas. Still it's better than no work I suppose. I'm not going in today, I just can't face it.

Instead I'm going to try and be kind to myself. Feeling a bit lost and in need of some tlc. No one will give that to me but me. Sorry for the moan.

WM on, beds made, I'll take kids to school shortly, have fab days all xx

Tomato ketchup - allow them to 'soak' in it.

Thank you. I understand it's the vinegar in the tomato ketchup that does the trick so I'm going to give the smallest piece about 30 minutes in pure vinegar and see if that makes any real difference.

Sorry you're feeling down ASB. (((Hugs))) You never need to apologise for saying how you feel on here. It happens to all of us sometimes, and we're all here for you.

I was too overtired to do much yesterday after a mega-day on Monday so today I really need to crack on. First thing, get another sample from the dog and fold the washing. I'm hoping the painter and decorator will finish today so that we can get the five areas he's working on back to normal. The front door looks fabby with it's new coat of blue gloss, but I'm awfully tired of needing to wedge a chair against the inside one so that we can leave the outer one open for 14 hours. It's a real faff when one of us needs to go out or come back in and the kittens are tired of being shut in one room while he's about.
    Better is good enough.
