Hi all
Aww thanks Asb, much appreciated my love x
Hi Dizzy I saw something on the news about flooding in your part of the world a few days ago and thought about you! Hope all is well with you and yours.
Long discussion with DS about what he should do about his job last night, which led to me getting to sleep far too late. He loves his job but the stupid hours are killing him so there are some difficult decision to make.
Managed to hoover and mop downstairs last night, dust LR and have a general tidy, which was an achievement after a long day.
Off to the paid stuff now, have a good Tuesday everyone x0 -
Another early start, still no pee from the cats *curses* so I'm now at the point of thinking it doesn't matter whose it is, I need wee wee from both to exclude them. They've got the pointy gravel until I get what I want from them.
Dog walked, DW emptied, two WM loads dangled, another exload folded and stacked because I can't get to the cupboard to put it away, washing up cleared, and front door painted. We now can't touch it for 13 hours. Fortunately after 26 years of living here I've discovered the internal front door lock actually works so that's been pressed into service.
The brass letterbox and door knocker are very tarnished and have been removed while the door's being painted. Apart from using vinegar plus bicarb paste - which doesn't work and is a pointless waste of both commodities - can anyone suggest how to get them all shiny again?Better is good enough.0 -
Good morning
I am in again this week - thanks ladies for the lists!
Yesterday I managed to sweep & mop the DR and kitchen. I job I have on my list every week, but I am ashamed to say that it never gets done!Well, it's done now. I also sorted out the composting, did some shredding, cleaned the sink & toilet in upstairs bathroom, did a big shop with DH and some dusting, etc. in the LR/DR. Table was also wiped down. I didn't look at the lists until last night, so I was pleased to have ticked some things off! There were also several wm loads done and the grass was cut (finally!) in the garden while it wasn't raining yesterday morning. That makes poo picking easier!
This morning I have put on the DW, walked the dog and checked the bank accounts. I am working today, but not going out. Little man is playing at the moment, and then I am going to get out some paint so we can do some firework pictures. I hope to get some admin done during his nap time.
See you all at the other end!
Hugs to those that need them0 -

Tomato ketchup - allow them to 'soak' in it.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

Afternoon all
So far today, I have done my stint at breakfast Club, lit the woodburner, fed dogs, goats and chickens, collected the eggs and made a tin of chocolate brownies that are currently still cooking.
The lounge has been tidied and hoovered in preparation for the floor to be mopped and the sofa to be wiped clean when I get back from a dog walk (after the brownies are done).
Tiny has football club after school until 4pm, so I'll pop and get Small and do an hour's ironing whilst listening to my audiobook for the book club on Thursday. TBH , the story is rather dry, but I'll plow on anyway...0 -

Really? I just gave up on our’s ever being shiny but maybe I’ll have to have one more go - this time with ketchup.
I didn’t post first thing as I was on a roll and had to be out by 8.30 am. DD’s bed changed, wm x 1 run. Dining room and kitchen dusted / vacc’d / mopped as appropriate. :j Just back from having hair cut, doing the gs, and running a few errands. I still have a couple to go but I’m picking DD up in market town later so those jobs are on the list for then.
I need to put the shopping away now and see what time is left before I head off out again. Cuppa first as ever0 -
hi.. ty for Fred..
just trying to get some christmas stuff sorted. I have bits saved in various places from various sources.. Ebay has been good to me recently and I have been saving pennies here there and everywhere and quidco has a little stash and I have saved £10 a week from the CB.. so it all adds up nicely.. but.. 24 people to buy for so it will not go far. So I am bargain hunting.. I have ideas for most people but the girls, (19, 17, 15, 8, 6 and 3) I am REALLY stuck for! and DS1 (28) grandboys (10 & 8) and my mother.. all help appreciated!I also know what I want for a few other people but I am NOT paying anywhere near full price.. so I am on price watch! And as much cashback as possible to add to next years christmas budget!
Anyway, I have done NO flying.. OH has cleaned cat trays,Boog cleaned their cage, DS1 did the DW.. I still feel shocking. I went to bed at 10 last night I felt so bad (I usually go about 1-2am) and still feel awful.
Anyway.. Off to stalk some sites.. Boots first I think, My sister likes the Soap and Glory stuff so that will be her sorted!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
