Thanks for all the welcome homes...I've really missed this group.

Been a busy bee so far, blitzing the kitchen, hoovering walls and ceilings (yes, it's that bad...) unblocking the sink with caustic soda, which was epic, as I used hot water to get things moving. I'll apologise to our septic tank later :shocked:

Thrown away about eleventy billion surplus egg boxes into the fire-fighting pile. I appreciate people keeping them for me, but my hens are being lazy !!!!!!!!!!s ATM so I'm not getting through them fast enough.

    Microwave cleaned and all shiny...ooh...
Two out of the three windows cleaned on the inside
Top of the fridge freezer cleaned. *note to self: wear a dust-mask next time*
Doesn't sound a lot, but I've been at it since dawn.....

Cuppa time - see you later!

Done my usual today which is walk the dogs and clean up after them in the garden. Also WM on and hung out.

Then it was a toss up between cleaning floors or removing that carpet in the spare bedroom Ive been meaning to do...
carpet won! :D I now have it cut and rolled up ready for council to take away (mice had invaded and it was covered in poop and wee, which....gross! also I hate hoovering!LOL). Sadly because Im the least handy person I know and carpets are held in place with lots of sharp things I then had to clean all the blood off the floor and curtains and cover myself in plasters.
Ashamed to admit that my TCP went out of date......in 2007!!! and me a nurse! *shakes head*

At least its now done and Im pooped so normal cleaning service will resume tomorrow!

    Afternoon all

Just had lunch break from paid stuff, in between heating, eating lunch and washing up I have...
Tidied and started dusting lounge, will finish dusting and hoover later
    Recycled newspapers and magazines
Refreshed water in vase of flowers
Put washing on airer and set another load swishing
Taken third load of washing downstairs, I will load later and it will be washed tomorrow
Tidied my desk into a neater pile of paper, I’m going to try and go through it while I am doing some training this afternoon

Going back to the office now, see you all later x
  • Ladies I am in, thank you so much for the lists.

Manic day back at work. Looks like I may end up teaching a course I've never taught before, interesting times! Kids eating dinner, they have had a shower also. I have unloaded the washing machine, tided the kitchen and done some work admin for hubby.

Tonight will be tv, book and an online shop. Have fab evenings all :)xx

    I'm in this week.
Only me at home this week so no excuses.
Only got back this evening after taking DD2 back to uni. Full day at work Tuesday and Wednesday but hoping Thursday and Friday will see me really flying. Hope to do a few bits and bobs this evening and tomorrow evening just to be ahead of the game.
Weekend was very productive and my playroom is clear enough. DD2 bedroom is sorted, cleaned and tidy so hope to keep it that way until she is back at Christmas.
Going to wrap some presents for DD2 birthday, 21 next weekend!

Turning my conservatory into a dining room/snooker room, basically consists of dining/snooker table, a cards table and was thinking about a darts board, anyone any experience? Metal traditional or plastic tips (thinking these might be safer)

    See you all tomorrow
  • Back on it this week after half term chaos. We have our audit at work next week which I hate and nearly drove me to a breakdown last year so I’m hoping that by being a bit organised at home I can keep to some resemblance of order and that I know what the heck I’m doing. No idea if that will work but I’m willing to try.

Did a full day at work today when I usually only work til 2 so will do a bit of dusting when I get home and make the living room look less like a dumping ground.

Quick and easy dinner cooked, eaten and cleared away. Wm has just finished after DH forgot to switch it on when he came home, and towels are hanging in the vague hope that they might dry by the morning. Kitchen got a bit of a s&s, although the floor still needs a good wash.

Busy day at work today so I’m now flopped on the settee. I can’t see much else getting done this evening tbh.

    Evening all

Paid stuff done, since finishing I have...

Finished dusting and hoovered the lounge
Hoovered master bedroom, currently empty but it’s getting dusty and a bit of a dumping ground so need to nip that in the bud!
    Bins emptied
    Downstairs loo cleaned
    S/s kitchen
    Loaded wm for tomorrow
Unpacked parcel and disposed of packaging
Bagged up some stuff for charity, will take it tomorrow

I didn’t get to my paperwork today, training was cancelled so I had no chance to work through it while I listened, will defer that to tomorrow.

Having a sit down now with my book, have a lovely evening all x

Just sat down with a G&T after getting back and unpacking the food shop. Kitchen still looks a-may-zing, except for the muddy paw prints all over the floor, but I'm ignoring that. All but one boarding dog have gone home, so just seven dogs for the night.

I'm pleased to report that the range got a full external clean and polish. I'm leaving the inside for another time...

Dishwasher got the full works too and my kitchen bin smells of peppermint rather than decomposing offal, which I consider a win too.

Tomorrow it's the turn of the lounge.

Feels good to be back on board. :D
  • Morning all,

Quick post from me this morning, we are all ready to go. Kiddies to drop at breakfast club then a full day of the paid stuff for me. DW is on, beds are made and everywhere is quite presentable. I am taking the kiddies out for tea tonight so no cooking needed.

Recycling bin out for collection and letters in my bag to post. Happy Tuesday all xx
