I like making up recipes too:D. Mostly I add as much Speed as I can to things. My burgers usually have onions, capers and chopped cornichons as well as the meat and herbs/spices.
I'm disappointed how much rubber cheese there is around. It may be fine for burgers or sandwiches but not for a cheese board. One of our treats for Christmas will be a selection of cheeses, not just for DH and I but for visiting family that enjoy it. I looked in Aldi and Lidl at the weekend and unless I want to buy special Christmas packs then there are loads of slices but very few blocks of anything beyond the basics. Lidl used to do an excellent Emmental but no more:(. I'll have to shop in Sainsbury's or Waitrose.
I'm out this evening and there's a 'luxury buffet'. I've been to this place before and there's often salmon, cold meat and salad bits (as well as chips and samosas). Hopefully I can find enough healthy stuff to keep me on plan.:)
Today's EE plan:
B: NAS Ribena (F), HEB toast, 2 fried eggs (P)
L: cold pork (P), 2 potatoes (F), fried veg and pickles (S)luxury buffet

I don’t eat much cheese anymore. I prefer a smaller amount of something tasty rather than a ‘light’ rubbery version which might be bigger. To think I would devour a whole wedge of brie in one evening before, no wonder I got fat :rotfl:. I do buy the bags of grated reduced fat cheddar to put on top of quiches, but never get to use it all before it goes mouldy, which is not very MSE
.
Anyway, delighted with a 2.5lbs loss today at WI, esp with having guests over the w/e and taking them to John Lewis for coffee & cake  We did do a lot of walking and no meals out, so was completely on plan. Another 2lbs to go before I get my 6st shiny, so hope I get it next week. Which will be our SW xmas party, tasters again, and apparently lots of raffle prizes. I think our lady gets Soup Makers for each group she leads. Will report back next week .
Did a big shop to get lots more fresh stuff to last the rest of the week. But didn’t go crazy to stock up on xmassy food. Shop will still be open next week, xmas is one day, must really keep things in perspective. No one in our family wants to eat lots of rubbish, so if I don’t buy it they can’t eat it either. Will make sure nearer the time what everybody would like as treats and shop accordingly rather than buy lots of options and then eat them all
. Still have to sort what we are actually eating xmas day; OH announced he is happy NOT having turkey, DD is veggie, not sure what DS would like, and I don’t really mind. There will be plenty of veg involved, that’s for sure.
