TMD I'm sure you will be fine, as long as you keep to plan the weight will come off, I know I'm echoing what everyone else has said to you, but I've been doing SW since September and never done it before. I am still shocked at how I can continue to loose weight while feeling completely full and actually never feeling hungry or snacking. Whatever the science behind it, if you are on plan and have the measured Healthy Extras and Syn allowance you will loose.

I found that I average out at 1.5lb a week. One week I did put on 1.5lb but I owe that to constipation as I hadn't been for 5 days, the following week I had a loss of 3lb so it evened out. the biggest loss I had was 6lb in one week about a month in, I'm not sure why or how this happened as I have been eating the same sort of food every week since the start.

Good luck for today, I look forward to hearing your result :)

    Welcome Marie!

Pleased to report a 1lb loss today at WI. We had a stand-in consultant which was very refreshing.

    Well done PIB

Yes, good luck TMD . :)

I don't think it matters that you've not done SP 100% Marie you should get a boost from cutting carbs for a few days. I know Denise is right about the banana and I don't think yogurt counts either but you're doing well. :)

You can have yoghurt on SP but only real Greek Yoghurt, not greek style, as it is Protein. You can also have Skyr and Quark as they are also Protein.

    Today's plan:

B - garlic mushrooms S; stock F; Laughing Cow triangle 1; roasted jacket potatoes F
    L - HM vegetable soup S; 1 slice WM bread 0.5 HEB
    D - HM spicy lamb burger P; 2 ;S; chips; beans F; tomatoes; mushrooms S

    HEA - milk
    HEB - bread 0.5; hifi bar 0.5
Syns - Laughing Cow triangle 1; 10% lamb mince 2

  • Morning everyone, hope you are all doing the best you can do, can't ask any more than that.

Any suggestions on cooking spinach? I hate the way it ends up being quite wet, I cook for 1 minute in the microwave (strangely the only thing I put in there other than to warm plates!), but because it needs to be washed beforehand, it retains the water and with the best will in the world, I can't get it all out just leaving the water behind.
A smile costs little but creates much :)

    Morning all,

MummyR I love that you measure your water by the gallon! :D. Can you tell us how you recreated the SW friendly pomodoro? Looks yum.

Good luck for WI today those getting on the scales.

    Plan today for me:
    B - banana & fruit quark (1)
L - porridge HEB & milk from HEA; melon & peaches
    D - sweet & sour chicken, rice & noodles (3) for sauce
Nothing else planned, but will update if it changes.

    Have a good Wednesday.

I prefer to do mine in a non stick pan and cook until wilted, and that way it uses the steam from the water to also cook it and the water evaporates.

I always use frozen spinach so I just defrost it and give it a good squeeze (or wrap in teatowel to dry as much as possible and then chop and wilt in a covered pan. Mainly use it in my scrambled eggs or curry not as a veg in its' own right.

Back again! Change of plan for HEB.

Not going to have bread with my soup and hifi bar later instead I'm going to do a baked stuffed apple. Haven't had one of these for such a long time I'm really looking forward to it. Got given a load of cooking apples by my friend on Saturday so have chopped the rest and frozen them to make apple pies for DH.

Made one Sunday and DH has eaten a couple of pieces and I've put 3 pieces in the freezer for him for later.

Oh yes please, it looks good enough to eat!:D How on earth did Bella Italia manage to get 10 syns into a portion!

DH is getting his own dinner tonight so I'm having a low carb day. Not exactly SP but close.

    Today's EE plan:
B: NAS grapefruit, banana, skinny syrup (F), HEB porage, HEA milk
    L: lentil (P) and vegetable (S) soup
D: omelette (P) with veg, pickles (S) and ham (P)
    Syns: 0
