Ouch. Won't be eating that! It's the chicken and traditional veg...
Thanks, Bubbs. I had this stuff already in....didn't realise the soups would be so high though -shame as they're delicious. Here is the soups
Yorkshire Provender Piri Piri Chicken Soup, chilled (600g pot) 9½
Yorkshire Provender Chicken & Lentil Soup with Spinach & Cumin, chilled (600g pot) 8½
Yorkshire Provender Roast Chicken Soup with Traditional Vegetables, chilled (600g pot) 10
Yorkshire Provender Thai Green Chicken Noodle Soup, chilled (600g pot) 9
Is the porridge plain?
Kitty do you have the app? unless this is stuff you already had in, when shopping i check anything before i buy it0 -
Bubbs, it's a shame about your dinner - it looked lovely!
I'm sure I've got the SW books somewhere, I'll have dig them out and I have a lot of SW friendly recipes saved. I really fancy baked oats bit haven't got any yoghurt - or fruit. Day before I go shopping and the cupboards are looking bare. I'll make a list and meal plan in a bit. For today though, plan is:
B - 40g Plain porridge with 250ml SS milk. Im at home today so I'll cook it properly on the hob.
L - Chicken salad - son left his lunch at home so I'll eat that
D - I am going to make the SW Paprika Pork with chicken with rice and at least three vegetables I think. I have some 3% creme fraiche so will use a tablespoon of it in place of fromage frais.0 -
Kitty you can make baked oats with some quark if you have that plus some milk to loosen it so it's more like yoghurt texture. Just looked up the low fat creme fraische and hadn't realised how low syn it is at just 0.5 per Tbs. Think I need to get some of that as I really like it in cooking and usually use soft cheese to get some creaminess in sauces.
The plan for today:
B - scrambled eggs and spinach on toast - P;S; HEB
L - corned beef salad - lettuce, cucumber, tomatoes, pepper, spring onions, celery, pickled onions, gherkins (have run out of cornichons!), pickled beetroot (all S) + 2 Syns
D - sea bream (got yellow stickered in M&S) P; boiled potatoes, peas (F), courgettes (S)
HEA - milk in teas
HEB - bread
Syns - 2 slices of corned beef 2

That can happen when you're getting started kitty. It wouldn't be very mse:money: to throw food out but if you can feed it to someone else...:D
My meal last night wasn't as low syn as it could have been. I decided to try their baba ganoush (aubergine puree) but it was tasteless compared to what I have in Turkey. Not too many syns though as it came in the tiniest ramekin I've ever seen!:( It also came with a delicious flatbread:o. My salmon came with a few small unfluffy gnocchi instead of the usual new potatoes. So all in all not too good. Anyhow, line drawn and I can stay on plan now for a week unless something unexpected crops up.
I have enough in to do today's menu (although a bit low on veg) but I will do my meal plan and shop because I'm busy tomorrow. The sausage casserole is the 'cowboy' version that my children loved. So basically beans, bacon, mushrooms and onions but I'll throw in some courgettes and anything else I can think of to make it more SW friendly.
Today's EE plan:
B: NAS grapefruit (F), HEB toast, HEA milk, 2 fried eggs (P)
L: JP (F) with chilli (P,S), cottage cheese (P) and beetroot (S)
sausage casserole (F,S) with tagliatelle (F)
Syns: sausages 1, HP sauce 1, weekend wine:)0 -

Very quiet on here today.:)
I did my meal plan and shop. Nipped into Sainsbury's mainly to use the cashpoint as I'd managed to get all I needed in Aldi. I had a look at the YS and was lucky to get 3 large packs of 5% mince, some salmon and samphire. Most will go in the freezer but I'm going to make some burgers too. I have DH chopping onions.:D0
