Amazon uk

I have just spent a good few hours on and off trying to contact Amazon uk to report an undelivered parcel, trying to do this through their website is nigh on impossible their online chat is useless and there is no phone number on the website , I had to ask online for a phone number. The usual feedback on my order page told me my package was handed to me on Friday, not true we were out on Friday and all weekend
Trying to get this incident across is impossible all you get it quite a few “I’m very sorry’s”. But to be fair to Amazon they refund without Question, it’s a pity they don’t refund you for your time and frustration.

Their number details are under contact us on the front page just follow the options about what your call is regarding they even give you the option for them to call you. I find they normal call me with in seconds of me pressing the buttonFirst Date 08/11/2008, Moved In Together 01/06/2009, Engaged 01/01/10, Wedding Day 27/04/2013, Baby Moshie due 29/06/2019 :T0 -
I am really amazed by Amazon's customer service. It really feels like a waste of time for both me as well as the call handler. They seem to have been trained to tell the customer whatever they want to hear, even if they aren't able to fulfil their promises.
20 October 2019 order placed to be delivered at my work address (used many times before for amazon)
27 October (a Sunday) 19:35 delivery attempted
28 October I called their customer service to ask if they could put a note to deliver between 08:30 and 16:30 - "yes no problem"
29 October delivery attempted at 19:16, despite my instructions.
30 October I called to request that they deliver to a friend's work with 24/7 reception. Delivery address has not been changed so I doubt that will happen. They said it would be quicker to cancel the order and start again.
I'm surprise how poor the whole setup is, now that amazon aren't the cheapest supplier of many things and they should be offering a premium service.0 -
Amazon isnt gonna revolve their delivery schedule around your working hours. No company is.0

Of course not. That is not my point. The customer service staff are dishonest.
My question "As the delivery address is my work address, can you put a note on the delivery instructions to come during office hours, 08:30 to 16:30"
Amazon staff "No problem, I'll put that in the notes so it will get delivered during those hours"
If is not something they can do, they shouldn't offer it. Likewise with my call today to arrange another delivery address. I don't think that is possible, but we'll see tomorrow.
My expectations aren't that high I don't think. The average ebay seller is quicker and more efficient than this experience.0 -

The Customer Service operator can certainly put such a request into the notes, but there are no guarantees. I'm certain your request was put in the notes as you asked...
Even Prime next day deliveries only promise "delivery by 9pm" which Amazon have attempted on both occasions..
In future, best advice is to get your items delivered to an Amazon locker and collect at your convenience.
As for the staff's "dishonesty".....0 -

Provided that the goods ordered are suitable for Locker delivery - some items may be too large, for example.0 -
I had a delivery problem - last year - I was following an item (due for delivery by a third party company) and watched it get delivered to the wrong address in a block of flats - 1 mile away from my house - including a photo of the entrance lobby of the building
The company were adamant that it was delivered to me - I had screenshots to prove otherwise
Amazon, eventually refunded me.0 -
If it is being delivered by Amazon then I have found that Amazon Logistics have their own customer services and that is who you need to get the normal Amazon CS to put you through too.0
