Have a good day
Good news about the kitchen fund.

Not much to report limping it home to the end of the month. 8 days till payday. Keeping a low profile with low spends and trying to avoid covid which despite reducing in the rest of the country appears to be shockingly high in the kids school. Haven't checked the banks for tilly tallies today but will do that Lter onJan 18 Joint debts 35,213

Let's rip up the budget and throw our hands in the air. We officially have covid in the house again. No wonder I'm spending so much on food. Fairly mild so far thankfully.
one of the littles tested positive this morning. Apparently only 12 out of 30 went to school today due to rest of class isolating..
Works policy is I have to have a neg pcr then a specific mask fitted before I can return So that covers childcare issues for the first 2 days.
Ah well. Hopefully it stays mild and fingers crossed she does two negatives in a row next week without passing it to the rest of us.

So far no one else has tested positive. If third child leaves a 2 week gap then catches It I will scream!
Thankfully this time it's milder than her brother so its just a case of sitting it out.
I completely bombed out on the grocery challenge and spent over 100 extra. Next month has to be tight. Expected wages are less due to time taken off and we have a child's birthday just to add in to the mix! On the plus side the debt has gone down a couple of quid this month not up so I'm still winning!Jan 18 Joint debts 35,213

So we appear to be covid free again. I'm in the feb grocery challenge and trying to do better than last month. This has felt like a shockingly spendy month so far as I'm into birthday season and the house has needed a few bits.
Debts have reduced by a couple of pounds and after freaking out about the gas and electric cap I've now calmed down again and have my game face on ready to face the challenge..
Maybe If I posted most often I wouldn't get into a tizz.
Some positive news is that the other remaining dmp debt has been sold. And its to a debt agency I have dealt with before. They have everything set up online so I can deal with it easily. And in years to come try to settle.
All my defaults will be gone by end of this year too. Then 2 more years for dh defaults.Jan 18 Joint debts 35,213

Yes it's all going in the right direction debt wise. We have 2 debts left on the dmp both in dh name. Being able to deal with it all online now is fab as dh just does not involve himself. I have an aqua card that I use for purchases but I aim to repay that within the same month. Depending on where we are in yhe month for that we only have the dmp debts left.
