    Morning all

Loads to do today, but am out for lunch with a couple of friends, one of them is having a difficult time at the moment so 2 of us have decided to take her out and give her a treat/break. Then we're all off to visit another friend who 's in hospital so not sure how much will get done.

Public holiday here tomorrow and I will have both DDs home too so should be a lovely weekend. Have a few jobs around the house and garden that I hope they will help with and DD1 is giving me my flu jab. OH had his done at work yesterday.

Playroom very nearly finished, just one drawer left to go through and unit moved then desk can go to the tip (it's too wobbly after many moves to be worth keeping or passing on). Then need to take down and get rid of venetian blinds (never been lowered by us in the 17 years we've been here so I guess filthy). Then last task for me is the floor. It's beautiful hexagonal quarry tiles which were salvaged from the Church many years ago. But they need a really good clean in places so if any of you have any tips I'm happy to give them a go. I have 4 weeks to restore 25 sq metres so should be managable.

Pellet stove thoroughly cleaned and loaded
    Up, showered, dressed, breakfasted
    Bed made, clothes off floor

Off to put another load in WM and pop to shops for a few sweets as I know the primary school parents are having a Halloween event this afternoon (and I live between school and village hall so difficult to avoid).

    And what's for dinner?

    See you later

    Good morning.

Day off today so the plan is bathrooms and paperwork at the top of the list. And the kitchen floor. And the Venetian blinds (thanks for the prod, Mademoiselle) which are desperate for a clean. Plus I need to cook up the last remaining tomatoes which are hanging around ripening on various window ledges.
I think that DD has a friend coming round later which might mean that I am off the hook for driving duties for the day, so no excuses not to hit the list.
Wm twirling. Dead flowers removed from LR. Kitchen veg waste out to the compost bin. It made me 4 bags of lovely compost when I turned out one bin last week :money:
Finishing cuppa then I get to choose - QHI or clean cloakroom to kick start my day??
Back later. Have a lovely day all.

Well we had planned to go to the non-halloween party at church but I have a wibbly tummy and Pixie has been upchucking this morning.. it is maybe related to the evil cough everyone in the house has but given my wheezing chest and Twinkle is poorly too I may just stay home and watch Halloween films in the dark and feed them popcorn and lollipops and have a film night instead. They had a great time last year at the party but I just don't think anyone needs our germies.

I have loaded the dishwasher and that is it for today.. I need to reshuffle the christmas presents so I know who I have stuff for and who I do not. I need to reshuffle and fling piles of stuff from the middle room and from the girls room.. I am toy flinging, they don't play with any of it so it is pointless keeping it.

OH at work until silly o'clock so I have no excuse to be sast here.. other than my tum.

two loads of washing on line; looks like the last fine day so wanted to make the most of it.
I've had to put the heating on as I'm so cold I was struggling - even with my old faithful fleece on over my jumper, and I'm wearing slippers and socks.
I've ironed last bit of previous after putting away what was on the maiden; about to see if anything's fit to iron. Bunnies loving the garden time. I'm loving watching them.
I've done some work stuff; an online course - supposed to take an hour; took me no more than a third of that. Certificate issued by email so that's a tick off the holiday list.

Last few maths papers marked and results entered onto spreadsheet.
Meters read and readings uploaded onto website - and confirmed because 'they don't look right' - yes; that will be because I am carefully using electricity.
All washing has been ironed and is on maiden or hangers airing off. Next load in WM includes a lot of socks so that load *may* be run through TD.
    Pots washed inc. MW turntable.
    Recycling out.
    Food tasting shortly.
    DS's tyre has been replaced.

    Hi all

Just finished paid stuff and am now eating lunch! Crazy, stupid, ridiculously busy day. TGIF tomorrow!!

Am about to do the dailies and I need to put the bins out but I think that might be my lot today. I’ve survived on tea and a couple of biscuits, I have a stinking headache and feel rubbish.

DH just phoned to say he will be late, I suspect I will be in bed by the time he gets in.

Hope you are all having a better day, GWS to pigpen

    BC xx

    House vacuumed
Bird feeders washed and refilled. Mrs Blackbird has been back after a couple of months away but no sign of Mr Blackbird. We also have goldfinches, various tits, Wood pigeons and 2 magpies.
Struggling with a cough and asthma.
Took DS2 for a haircut so another half term job ticked off.
A few Halloween sweets eaten as we haven’t had many “knockers” this evening.

Basins and loos all cleaned plus the shower in the en-suite. I didn’t make it to clean the bath so that will have to be on the weekend list. But I did clean the blinds in the en-suite, even if I didn’t make it to the kitchen blinds. Bedroom given a quick clean over.
I did end up driving DD to Mr M to get a pumpkin or 3. She has made a good job at carving them but I am now on sweet duty for the village kids.
Wm x 2 run and 1 load even dried outside. Dw run and emptied. An hour paperwork done but plenty more to go.
GWS wishes to all poorlies. Badcat - take care and don’t get dehydrated. That tends to give me headaches as much as not eating.
