Kaz, big hugs, never feel bad about posting even if you do nothing, I sometimes do nothing myself, well actually if you are completely honest I doubt you have done 'nothing' you just aren't giving yourself enough credit for it, we all do 'stuff' everyday that we forget to be proud of achieving, especially when under pressure. If you've slept lots you have obviously needed it. Big hugs to your Nan too bless her, 95, wow!

Been up since 6.30ish and been busy already. Going round to OH's later on today as we're painting the loft out, and the bathroom and other bits & pieces, should be fun. Got to nip into town just before closing to get eldest Sons Birthday cards for tomorrow, I musn't forget!
Got a bag full of clothes off one of my aunties yesterday (I must have sounded desperate on the phone lol) so got me a nice coat/pair of boots some tops and a couple of pairs of pants - not what I would buy particularly but beggars can't be choosers and they are good quality. So I sorted all those into my wardrobe earlier on so that's a big bag out of the way.- [strike]

Morning everyone!
Had a really nice day out with my friend yesterday as my ME time, even though it poured with rain all day and we got very wet and muddy. Her new baby (6weeks old yesterday) was really cute, although I only saw her awake for about 5 minutes the whole day. Her other 2 girls (1 and 2) were also very sweet, and took to me immediately which was nice (I think the pink fleece helped, as they both had pink coats on too, so we all matched).
We all went to the wildfowl and wetlands trust in Arundel and we even went on an electric boat ride in the pouring rain. We had a picnic lunch in a birdwatching hide, and caught up with what each other had been doing since we finished uni. We all had a good time, and we're looking forward to going back in the February half-term to see some ducklings!
While I was there, the supply agency phoned me up to say that one of the schools I've been supplying in may be interested in offering me a job for a couple of days a week as a floating teacher (that sounds rude doesn't it?)who covers PPA time, but they are going to look into it a bit more, as they know I want to complete my NQT induction, but it's still nice to think that I've been almost head-hunted and I'm not even completely qualified yet! The position would be until the end of the academic year (July), but I'm concerned that I wouldn't be able to get my NQT signed off as a) I'm only working part time, so it will take me a long time to get a term signed off, and b) I won't have one regular class to teach, so I don't know if it could count anyway as I believe you have to be teaching one class for continuity. It would also mean I'd be paying more tax by working directly for the school and also for the agency to do supply on the other 3 days a week. Oh dear, makes me sound ungrateful doesn't it, it's just I'm aware that if I got a maternity cover, I'd be working full time, and would complete more of my induction in the same amount of time and then I'd be on the way to getting it all over and done with.
Anyway, hugs to everyone who has had a tough week or is feeling stressed, and well done to all of the new flyers who have managed to take their first babysteps to flying. I'm off to wash my hair and get dressed before driving into town to the free park and ride to save me some money when I go to the market to save even more money on fruit and veg and some Christmas cards and paper.
Take care everyone, and happy flying!

PS Dusty, I had my first chocolate from the Lidl advent calendar today, and it was yummy like you said. morning all
keep waking up 'early' these days! must be getting into practice for new job! oh well. just means i need to go to bed earlier.
OH and i need to sort out our wedding service stuff today as we're meeting with my friend who is taking the service next week. other than than i need to nip to the shop to pick up some extra cakes to sell tonight (as mine weren't great) and some cream and marshmallows for the hot choc. i'll need to go out about 6 to get set up so not too bad.
how much do you think it's fair to sell pizza slices for? pizzas were £1 each. was thinking maybe 35p for an eigth slice or maybe 4op for a sixth. does that sound reasonable?! it's a charity night for world AIDS day and we're also having a raffle, playing games and on a wii, cake stall and entry of £1 adults 50p kids.Mum to gorgeous baby boy born Sept 2010:j0 -
35p for 1/8 sounds reasonable to me Rach. That would mean that you make 22.5p on each slice then, although I suppose it would be slightly less as you have to take into consideration the fact that they have been cooked too using fuel. 40p for 1/6 = 23.4p to charity.Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.I married Moon 8/4/2011, baby boy born 26/9/2012, Angel Baby Poppy born 8/11/15, Rainbow baby boy born 11/2/20170

that was my thought too, sexymouse. the church pays for the fuel so we don't have to worry about that!
we're not gonna make tons the whole night but that's fine. we were given £10 a while ago by a charity called HopeHIV to turn into as much as possible. the nice people at church are also donating the christmas carol concery collection to it as well so we should make a fair bit!Mum to gorgeous baby boy born Sept 2010:j0 -
Morning all
Well I didn't exactly have a strop this week instead I hardly slept on Thurs night. My mind was whirling round with all the things I need to be sorting and that's before I even start to think about Christmas stuff. Work yesterday was manic, hardly stopped for a breather until well into the afternoon that coupled with a few t*ssers of customers and a small cash error at the end of the day I was well p*ssed off.
Anyway it's the w/e, have caught up with all your trials and tribulations. Hugs, ooos and awwwwwwws as appropriate to one and all
Just going to package the ebay sales then take A swimming with PO run on the return leg! Off to nannies for lunch and then see what time it is when we get back.
W had a great time at after school club (forgot who asked, sorry) and can't wait to go again so that is a result and will make life a little easier on a Thursday
Better get on or we will be running late. Hope you all have a good day DON'T eat all the advent chocs todayOfficial Mascot and Chief Cheerleader for the 'Mortgage Free in Three' Gang0 -
Morning
Well I AM going to do something today so just finishing breakfast cuppa then off to shower. After that I shall take doogie for a walk to the sorting office because the lazy b*****s put a card through the door saying they were unable to deliver a package this morning which I'm going to complain about. I heard the post come through the letterbox and the postie couldnt even be bothered to ring the doorbell, and its not the first time it has happened, so why do they do that.
Then its going to be be sorting and starting the washing, probably online shopping, cake making (must use those black bananas) and DD off to a party for 430. Somewhere I need to find time to do some cleaning as place is a tip.
Its windy outside but the sun is shining so going to make the most of it.
Have a good day
KazMortgage, we're getting there with the end in sight £6587 07/23, otherwise free of the debt thanks to MSE help!0 -
Just opened my mail and received an apology from someone at HM revenue and customs for losing my details, apparently I was one of the 25 million - fab  as long as I still get my fam allowance I'm not that bothered.
Yeah - me too - groan. It's the whole, "we've accidentally released all your bank details and your child's name and date of birth to any old stranger" that really, REALLY bugs me off......
Have a lovely weekend everyone - First day of Advent :j
rumbly x0 -
Morning everyone - happy 1st of december.
Charlie has somehow got 3 advent calendars so we get to have one each this year. - woohoo.
We've spent all morning waiting for parcels. The currys one hasn't arrived yet again, so i am a bit peeved with that.2nd weekend on the trot when i paid 14 quid for a saturday delivery. Think i may phone up and cancel that one as i will be risking it not arriving at all if this keeps on.
charlie's last pressie arrived today though, so at least that is sorted.
Charlie being a stroppy boy again when he is not having full attention, so best feed him and then perhaps food shop.0
