Afternoon lovelies
Awwww thanks for all the congrats, you guys are the best :iloveyou: I'm still smiling too
choca eldest son is 24 and littley is 7 so there's quite a big gap, but it's cool! Does feel weird sometimes though.
less of the 'Granny' Miss Polly
MWM As Dusty suggested - can you possibly store them in a loft, or at a push someones elses lol
Glad you're feeling a bit better Shirley x
rumbly 30? guess I can't complain too much then, I'm 40
Good Luck Shell we'll send the search party in if we've not heard from you in the near future.
G&B maybe the Calpol hasn't kicked in yet, or it's not strong enough, I know sometimes my littley needs something more of she's got a virus.
Breakfast in buns eaten, had a warm through at OH's (I was hoping for a warm through by him NOT his stoopid fleece blankethahahahaha!) but there you go.....done most of my list:-
[STRIKE]empty DW
reload DW
WM x 1
TD x 2
S&S kitchen
S&S living room
make beds
hoover stairs
hoover all downstairs
[/STRIKE]
S&S bathroom
Just the bathroom to do, then I might get the mop out and give the laminates a going over, and THEN I MIGHT take the net curtain down in the kitchen and prepare the window (it will take some doing it's full of packing tape to keep out the draughts) ready to instant double glaze. *rubs chin (s)*0 -
Right I have:-
Hoovered porch
Wiped down internal porch walls
Wiped down door, frame and window frame outside porch
S & S bathroom, scrubbed loo (will do bath after I have a shower)
Floor swept in bathroom
Kitchen S & S
Dishes put away
Lounge dusted and tidied
Changed littles DVD
Delegated jobs to littles when they decided to "help" lol
Littles currently sorting their jewellery beads by colour, this should keep them busy for a while. Am sure they will get fed up before they have sorted them all.
My granny boots from tchibo have arrived, but they are slip proof and thermal so when the weather turns as least my feet will be warm on the trot to school with the littles.
Think I will tempt the littles with playdough and try to crack on with some ironing. Hubby just phoned he is just getting on the train back from London so hoping he will be home earlier today.
Got beds to remake too. More coffee me thinks0 -
GnB - Calpol has done nothing for DD2 temp, which according to the ear thermometer was 40.2 at the highest. Ibruprofen does the job but does seem to take 20mins or so to take effect. I got some calprofen yesterday and that seems to take effect a bit quicker, plus she will actually take that one where as the lloyds one was a real struggle and threats of no presents from father xmas didnt even convince here it was worth taking.0

Woo! you've done loads Shell :T
You can't beat warm feet. I treated myself to these from next

Hi girls and fellow newbies rumbly and madwith...
Madwithmoney - I've got a hoard of Good Food mags going back years I keep saying I'm going to sort through, take out recipes then get rid... still on the to do list though.
Rumbly - babysteps, you and me both.
Congrats embb - I don't have any myself and it's been a while since nieces and nephews popped out, even my friends are on a go slow... but a new addition is always lovely news.
Had a bit of a go in the bathroom today, just sinks, bath and loo. Not bothering too much as it's being redecorated - just a quick paint makeover and new nik naks while we save up for the major overhaul but that won't be for a couple of years and I need something done to keep me motivated to keep it clean - it's a vicious circle, it really is.
MUST MUST MUST crack on with some revision as I've got exams next week and I'm starting on the ladder of panic.
Anyone got any recommendations on a duster worth getting by any chance.:o .
Toad in the hole tonight.
All the best everyone (espesh to all those under the weather or with poorly ankle biters.)

Right - have messed up the posted list already so think I will find it easier to do my own- so today I've:-
washed all uncarpeted floors (did 'em yesterday too - don't ask )
made bread
cooked some mince and veg in slowcooker overnight which will either be turned into cottage pie or something
1 load of washing done and now decorating bathroom to dry
pushed carpet sweeper round living room and landing (cat hairs )
been to greengrocer and bought fruit and veg
wiped down cupboard doors and DW & WM fronts in kitchen
phoned parents
Also been to work for 3 hours and done normal daily stuff such as bedmaking etc. Still haven't got round to sewing those morsbags yet but I'm going to start after finishing on here
embb CONGRATULATIONS! It's lovely being a Grandma - so much less responsibility than being a Mum:rotfl::rotfl:
Right off for a chapter or two of a book then on with that stitching!
Have a good afternoon everyonePeople Say that life's the thing - but I prefer reading
The difference between a misfortune and a calamity is this: If Gladstone fell jnto the Thames it would be a misfortune. But if someone dragged him out again, that would be a calamity - Benjamin Disreali0
