Morning everyone! Congrats Embb that is great news!
Ok so far today we have been for a walk, cleared kitchen & dining room after breakfast, booked a mystery shop and....read some books, galloped around on hobby horses, played throw the ball in the bucket and coloured in a picture of Dora the Explorer!! But the bathroom and study/playroom IS going to 'happen' after lunch when DS has a nap..... she types optimistically!!
Now here is a question for you all! I am in the process of sorting out a storage cupboard on our landing. There is a whole shelf full up of child education magazines. Now when teaching I have referred to these loads for ideas, posters etc. I have cancelled my subscription since I am not currently teaching and probably won't return to teaching for a couple of years at least. Do I keep them or bin them???? I am scared to throw them as I fear the 'if only I had that poster, lesson plan etc', but am also aware that things change and move on and perhaps they will be out of date by the time I need to use them again.....Hmmm what to do...0 -
Thanks Dusty, i'll start tomorrow, when are you lot doing the challenge? Do you give a time and all rush off for 15 minutes and then come back?
Yes we rush off and do things and then report back. They are not a set thing, just when one of us want to suggest it - feel free to see if anybody wants to join you at a time that is suitable to you.The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
Aww, just glanced over, my monkey is sleeping. Looks like butter wouldnt melt. She must be feeling rubbish because she's a little live wire and doesnt usually sit down for anything!!! Sods law my delivery will turn up now and the buzzer will wake her!The trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt.Bertrand Russell0

MwithM if you have a loft could you store them there? Could you scan them and save them on the pc? Are they likely to be out of date/vogue when you return?
I am dreadfully for hording paper/mags but I am getting better and have not yet got rid of something and then wished I hadn't later.
Kids both got glowing reports at learning review day. Just having a cuppa then need to go and do a food shop for the weekend. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
ANYONE UP FOR A 30 MIN CHALLENGE?
i need to move from the sofa!!!Mum to gorgeous baby boy born Sept 2010:j0 -
Yay I am finally feeling a lot better, shame that I've wasted most of my week off being ill
Oh well I guess atleast I've managed to catch up on some sleep.
Finally after about 10 hours on the phone to BT over the past month, being told all sorts of differing stories by people, being cut off several times, getting through to indian call centres whose only response to my questions were "hi my name is xxx how can I help ?", or "what is the first line of your address", being told I'm sorry I can't deal with that we're changing the computer system over and I don't know how to use the new one. Oh and the best one, creating my new account in my ex's name ! Duh ? That's what I have now, why would I want to do that again ? Finally this morning I spoke to a nice woman who managed to sort it all out for mehurrah. BT are the only company who cannot just change the name on the account, everyone else can but not BT, apparantly even if the account holder dies and their spouse wants the phone in their name they have to have the phone cut off in order to do so !
So anyway, it's back to flying and back to studying today. I keep looking out the window and thinking that the sky is blue and it would be so nice to go to the forest and take some autumn photos, but...... in reality most of the leaves would have fallen off the trees now anyway, so it probably won't be the shots that I have in my head, I might pop to the common this afternoon though, as that isn't a 30 minute drive away.
