I told them I'd be the hip and trendy nana. she said wearing big furry slippers and a cardigan  :D all I need is pockets for the mints......

Best get cracking with my list, done the beds and brought some washing down, but that's it! Gonna make breakfast in a bun for me and OH later and take it round, then mull about at his house [STRIKE]for a free warm[/STRIKE] cause I enjoy his company.

    Brew first though.........

  • morning everyone. :D I'm without child, so hopefully that means a small amount of flying and a lot of rest for me today.

embb congrats to your family, and i have to say, my mum feels to young to be a gran so she is nana instead. You will have to think what you want to be called. DH's mum on the other hand is 10 years older and ecstatic to be a grandma.

rach congrats sorting out your flat. You will be able to move in a lot of your stuff before the wedding if you have the keys that early. That will be brill as it will be less hassle than unpacking it all and starting the new job after the honeymoon.

i am trying to not feel sorry for myself this morning as life is so much worse for other people. I bumped into one friend while dropping charlie off, her car was hit by someone in the car park yesterday so that will need sorting. Then i go on facebook and another friend who is about 37 weeks pregnant is having a rough time - her dad has bowel cancer, and they took him in to operate, and now he has septicaemia, so the poor love is in a right state. My life is peachy in comparison. What can you do?

Anyway, going to try and get a couple of little bits done today, so will do myself a list, but then i will be having an afternoon kip later as well as charlie had us up at 6am this morning and i am sure tiredness is my main problem.

    • wash out vase flowers were in
    • put out recycling
    • wash up everything
    • make a sausage casserole in SC for tonights dinner
    • send in work for school tomorrow
    • send in a lab request order for next week at school
    • review modules that are meant to be done this term so it is done
extras as i spot them on the wander round the house:
    • wipe the dusty bits on charlie's cot
    • cleaned up mould patches around the window as far as i could reach (darn - just noticed the curtains are mouldy too, so will have to get DH to take them down at the weekend so i can wash them
    • emptied bathroom bin
    • added 2 pairs of DH's jeans to the charity shop bag
    • folded some dry stuff on the airer
    • done pigsback clicks/comps
    • fixed the shredder
    • shredded a big pile of papers sat waiting for the shredder to be fixed
right, have finished my breakie now, so i am going to make a start and i won't be spending all day on here.

    Morning all

Embb very exciting news - that is going to be a long 8 months wait for you.

Right need to go to kids learning review day now so will be back god only know when.

To make you laugh. DS3 tried on his costume this morning and I have sewed the tail on too low - I blame Ant and Dec and it hangs between his legs like a very long w*lly - hilarious but I need to take it off and restitch

GnB - I have never had the funds paid into my paypal account always my bank account:confused: .

Sausage casserole - yummy. My lot dont like mash but I love it, but never bother to cook it just for me.

Michelle - I know what you mean, I feel cacky at the moment (lack of sleep is the real cause) and I feel guilty for feeling like this when so many other people have real problems. Make sure you have a good rest today. Have a duvet day with some good dvds if you cannot sleep.

My Mum is a Mad Nanna (thats what the kids call her:D ), and yes she is a jean wearing nutter. Not a fluffy cardi in sight.

  • Congratualtions embb! Bet you're thrilled! I take it you have a big age gap between oldest and youngest? How did you find that? My oldest son is 13 and I am having another baby - find it weird to think baby will be starting school and DS will already be working / at university. They are going to be completely different generations!

Feeling a bit bored and restless today. It's getting easier and easier to do the housework (I know, that should be a good thing!) But unless I venture into the attic there's not much to do. Getting the urge to go shopping and I know I shouldn't and don't need anything!

Rach that is great news, I am thrilled for you both
methekidsandthecat welcome, pleased to hear things are helping you, well done for what you have achieved, little and often I am sure you will get there
    embb congratulations :D
Michelle, pleased you are going to take things a bit easier today, hope you manage to get some rest
aimee that is a great idea for pigpen's son, I'll keep that one in mind for when mine are horrible teens!
Dusty, that had me giggling, awww bless him :rotfl: hope the review goes well
shell, big hugs, hope the girls are better soon, stuff the flying, they are much more important. My sons are the same when poorly as soon as the temperature goes up so I always rotate them on calpol and nurofen to keep the temperature and their stomach contents down.

As for sausage casserole I like it too, what I do if I fancy it and noone else does I just make it as I would and freeze what is left for the next time I fancy it.

Right, need to do lots today, DS1 off school tomorrow for training day so any 'noisy' jobs need doing today. As usual Thursday is my manic and shorter day as I collect DS2 half an hour early for his physio session, then swimming afterwards. Dogs sorted, load of washing in, kids off to school, collected DS2s new uniform so that will have to go in next to get rid of the 'fluffy bits'.

Need to get DP taken to appointment with consultant physio, who will be deciding what to do next as his physio sessions are finished. Fingers crossed he doesn't say surgery or we'll be up creek without paddle!

Right, best go wake him up and get something made for breakfast. Have a good day everyone :)
One day I might be more organised...........
