Today I am seriously doing my head in! I've just typed a long message but it even depressed me, lol, so I didn't feel I could subject you all to it. I'm still not eating properly after the weekend so I don't think that helps. Mmmmm, thinking about it i've not eaten anything today so i'd better go and make myself a piece of toast. Feel free to give me a kick up the bum!
Rach - brilliant about the house.
Embb - congratulations on the impending arrival
Everyone else - sorry there are other messages I wanted to reply to but my brain has died on me so hello to everyone else xxJanuary budget

My son is in the RAF and the most exotic place he's been to is Cyprus, which suits me fine. Of course you can't guarantee he won't be sent to Basra or Afghanistan but it's less likely than if he was in the Army. I just keep everything crossed.
 Exactly!!
My nephew is a signalman.. and on one of the very first trucks into Basra.. THAT is scary! A friends daughter is in Afghanistan as well and really hating it... the 'guys' have stolen loads of her stuff.. and someone who will steal from you is hardly likely to protect you.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0

it's a nightmare out there. It has just taken me an hour and 20 minutes to pick charlie up from the next village to us. Why is everyone on the road today??

My ostrich feather one fell apart was not as good as the sheepskin one and the cats were obsessed with it, does that help? The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0

I bumped into one friend while dropping charlie off, her car was hit by someone in the car park yesterday so that will need sorting. Then i go on facebook and another friend who is about 37 weeks pregnant is having a rough time - her dad has bowel cancer, and they took him in to operate, and now he has septicaemia, so the poor love is in a right state. My life is peachy in comparison. What can you do?
The best thing to do Michelle is exactly what you are doing, getting on with your life and making the most of it Just let those people know that you are thinking of them and if you think you can do anything practical to help then let them know that too. Help can be in any form from listening with a cup of tea to baking a cake. Personally I hate it when people offer help when they secretly hope you won't ask for it. Evening all!
Just thought I'd check in to see how you are all doing, and find that in the day I've been gone, loads has happened!
embb Congratulations on your news about a little one on the way.
Serena I hope you get better soon. Have you been to the doctors, as they may be able to find out if there is a reason why your immune system seems to be so low at the moment, or at least suggest ways to boost it a bit more?
Rach great news about your new flat. Bet you can't wait to get in there - very quick turnaround too, so you must be pleased that you'll be in before Christmas.
Grrr! OH just put my tea down in front of me, and I've just knocked it all over me, the keyboard and the mouse mat, so I'm fuming!
Signing off now so I can clean myself up.
