Of course you check they got the amended defence. Did you send it to the correct court?
Well starting the WS now means youve got loads of time. If you dont start it now you will be more rushed. The answer seems fairly obvious...
Remember the defendant is who writes the primary WS.

She sent the ammended defence to CCBCAQ@justice.gov.uk as she did last time.

You posted an order 13th Jan, that link is now dead, but it showed which court ordered the amended defence. 
WHich court Ordered an amended defence? Was it the CCBC, or another court? If another court, thats where the amended defence must have been sent.
Remember this is your mums WS, not yours, but you can add another. It isnt just a WS, its also the documents you will add as further evidence to support your WS and defence.

Think it was allocated court i choose but didn't show me where to send the ammended so i sent it the same way i sent the original.

So that means my mum has to go on her original defence and not the new one?
Or should i get her to ring the ccbc and ask what she can do next.

This is a huge problem. 

A local Judge said she could amend her defence, and then she DIDN'T send it to that court/that Judge?  Oh wow.

Just forward by email (the local court has a published email) the commuication and attachment that she sent to the CCBC, to the local court and the Claimant and remind them that this was the 'amended defence' as emailed to the CCBC on xx/xx/2020 and she is just reforwarding it in case the CCBC falied to match it to the case after allocation.  State that she used that email address as it was the only one she had for the courts at the time.  The only court directions about defences required such a document to go to the CCBC and if she got that wrong she apologises and wishes to clear up and prove that she did submit to the courts, an amended defence.

The CCBC were no longer involved when Swansea court was allocated

I have no idea  - maybe post up the order again? Or at least read it?

You need to actually read the Orders YOU have in YOUR possession and see what they say, to see whether in 4 months you didnt think to check that the amended defence was sent to the right court or not...

Might be too late but phoning a court clerk during COVID to talk about something and get no email trail, is so utterly pointless I really wish people would stop.

She did send the claimant (CEL) the ammended defence signed delivery on the same day she sent the ammended to CCBC.

Im just reforwarding my ammended defence in case the County Court Business Centre has failed to match it to the case after allocation.

I used the County Court Business Centre email address at the time on February 2020 as i only had their email address.

The only court directions about defences required such a document to go to the CCBC and if i got that wrong i apologise and wish to clear up and prove that i did submit to the courts, an amended defence. I am very sorry for any inconvenience i may have caused, i also sent the claimant the ammended defence on February 2020.
