Narco.. I just looked at the Diva thingymebob.. it is a list of (adult) traits = me and childhood traits = Dot.. OH and Meem are laughing at it.. tey said it is a description of the two of us.. lol.. rude much?!
Once the rudies have finished laughing, tell them ADHD may save their life one day as they make fantastic SAS or public service people- it's the combination of rigorously enforced training then a job of variety and risk-taking!Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.0 -

Awake early, stayed in bed with cat (and snoring OH).
Didn't need to do anything, so got up and had coffee, cat curled up next to me. When OH finally got up, he went and had a bath and then announced that, because the local shops don't sell any hard fat (for pastry, roasties or any other cooking purposes), he was on his way to the big Mr T. I went along because it was warmish and sunny.
Came back with two houseplants (simultaneous, I was picking one up at one end of the display as he was doing exactly the same round the corner), one tray of windowbox plants, some decorative gibble (his purchase), assorted decorative squashes (his purchase), some hard fats, bag of kitty kibble, a big joint of meat, two small bottles of ale for cooking, a packet of kidneys (some for tomorrow with left over beef in a pie, some for cats) and some caramel soya coffee (my choice).
Lump of cow now in the SC for an indefinite length of time and he's making space for 'his' houseplant in the studio.
I wonder whether this 'plants make you feel better' thing is something that he's caught from me?I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.Yup you are officially Rock n Roll0 -

The leaving things half finished I do ALL the time.. I have everything in my life half done.. I didn't even fully cook my babies lol.. I didn't think that would be a thing.. and the inability to read a book.. I LOVE reading but I simply cannot hold concentration long enough, I read the same page/paragraph over and over.. I just put that down to being tired, busy, lazy etc.Narc0lepsy wrote: »Once the studies have finished laughing, tell them ADHD may save their life one day as they make fantastic SAS or public service people- it's the combination of rigorously enforced training then a job of variety and risk-taking!
I have 2 bi-polar, 3 dyspraxic, 1 severely dyslexic and a second up for testing for dyscalcula, 1 Aspergers so me and Dot having traits wouldn't be shocking at all. I'm thinking I should have a proper assesement now never mind Dot!! lol

Afternoon all
I had a nice lazy morning, just did some batch cooking and some washing. This afternoon we pottered a bit in the garden and went for a nice walk. Most pleasant.
This evening DH will do the ironing, I have a bit of sewing that has sat on the back of my office chair waiting to be done for several weeks so I should get on with that. Then it will be reading and relaxing I think.
Just going to start supper, making cottage pie, will double quantities so that we have a meal in hand in the freezer for another night.
Have a lovely evening all. See you on the new thread x0 -
Baking mincemeat, HB??????? I always pot mine up raw, with brandy as a preservative, then bake it in (raw) pastry as mince pies. Would be interested to know how yours turns out.
I use Delia's recipe from her Christmas book - this one's a bit different but the technique's the same. Yup, bake it, and it's a bit of a faff, but it tastes absolutely superb. I normally don't like the stuff but I love this. I couldn't get it to flambe so it was fine. I made another load of pear and ginger chutney as well today as well.
Four loads through the WM, three out on the line and it started to drizzle so the last lot can wait until tomorrow. Hob cleaned, superking changed and shower room cleaned.Better is good enough.0 -
Thank you, Honey Bear. Having had a few jars oozing juice in the past, I will give this method a try. Delia reckons it's best eaten within a year. More like three months in this house!
Had a nice drive out with my friend to the NT property where I used to volunteer (and met two of the room guides who remembered me). We felt obliged to test the cream teas: scored 10/10
Cooked fish pie for tea - strange eating it without peas! - followed by tinned rice pudding. This diet of DH's is almost all white, but I did manage to get a bit of pink salmon in the pie and some chocolate sauce on the rice.
I have WUALTD and sorted laundry ready for tomorrow. That's all my flying for today0 -
Did two loads of laundry which were pegged out. Been doing work stuff, too.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily Dickinson

Allotment digging clothes washed and hanging. Dinner cooked in sc. Vacuum cleaner run around the bedroom, spare oom and LR - anywhere where no one was occupying. Just remembered that I haven’t cleaned the bathroom...oh well.
See you all on the new Fred.0 -
