Currently 71% desktops and laptops, 29% mobiles and tablets, or a ratio of about 2.7 : 1.0
Interestingly, I discovered how easy it is on this forum to set up a poll! I had never done one before, and I hope that facility remains in the new version.
Results are from DT users only.
Surprisingly it is not one of the regular questions that MSE themselves as in their weekly poll, I can't even find the last time it was asked by them.0 -

Yes the poll is really academic interest only as its userbase is skewed by being only on one forum.
MSE will have the data on how the forums are accessed.
So how about it MSE Tine? Let us know the actual percentages on desktop/mobile usage?
(I realise I'm shouting into the void here. Sometimes the void replies.)0 -

I and many others use a VPN browser for security purposes but I cannot access the MSE forums using the VPN. This issue must be resolved as I am sure it would not be the policy of MSE to expect members to reduce their online security level in order to access the forum.0

I meant 'old timers' as being those of us that have been here for many years and not age (regardless of us joining when in infant's school)

I can deal with/ignore trolls, what I don't like are the ones who report long time & helpful posters & get them PPRed out of spite or because they don't like the truth!0

Thats why a proper block system is needed. The ignore function does not stop them from causing bother for you.0
