The new job is permanant, the current one isn't.

I really used to enjoy working in the bookies and I know its something I was really good at. I worked for this company at the same branch before and I loved it there, but I took a job with a different company and it was there it all went wrong.

I know its evenings and weekends but I can probably handle that, and I'll nearly double my wages. I don't know, but I'd probably be silly to turn it down.

OH is now talking about postings within the UK, so I guess with the Post Office training and the settling training I could get a transfer...

She just seems to have convinced herself its not going to happen any way other than her way. She brought me all these leaflets about local hotel reception prices and photographers yesterday. She reckons I should go for one which is £30 a person and is planning all the people she wants there. Most of which I've never heard of...

She still hasn't said out right that she wants to pay for it, but shes about as subtle as a brick. OH is home for the weekend tomorrow so I expect she'll come out with it then... If he does get his first posting in this country we can put the wedding off a bit, so we can save more ourselves and have a bit more control over it.

Been cleaning and tidying like a maniac-I like him to believe hes the messy one not me. :o

Its a tip here and I can honestly say this time it is down to OH. He actually said to me this weekend "I bet you only tidy up when you know I'm coming home"

Busted... Although I didn't admit it, obviously :rotfl:

Will update on my weird and wonderful weekend tomorrow, I've not long got back and I need my bed :o

I'm so tired after a very busy weekend. OH came home for the weekend and I've worn myself out...

...Not in a fun way though. ;)

I had to drive 60 odd miles each way on Friday to pick him up from Plymouth as the bloody train didn't come this far. Why he wasn't told that when he booked the ticket I don't know. This was after working all day and we didn't get home till gone midnight. Cue Jethro "the train don't stop Camborne..." ;) Add the fact the main road to Plymouth was closed and I was diverted miles out of my way down piddley country lanes...

Anyway, obviously worth it anyway! :D

I worked on Saturday, but when I got home we sat in bed watching tv and eating junk and generally relaxing. What could be better? Didn't leave the house at all!

On Sunday I decided not to make him catch the train back, because it would've shortened our time together by about 5 hours, and I couldn't bear that. :o I drove him as far as Weston Super Mare and one of his mates took him the rest of the way from there. Worth it because we got an extra 5 or so hours together, but as a result I was shattered.

Sat in the car waiting for his mate for a few hours and had a good chat about things. We've decided its pushing things a bit trying to plan a wedding for February, so we're now thinking about the summer. We're going to make a decision over Christmas about it.

Went and visited my Dad on the way back which was nice. Because he lives at the other end of the county and the roads are so rubbish down here, I don't go often. Made a nice change though, and he has a new puppy. It was so cute.

Then I dropped in on OHs mum and stepdad, but they were very drunk and I couldn't handle that, so I escaped quite soon! Because we didn't go and see her over the weekend, and because she was so drunk, she let slip her plan... She wants to pay for the reception and photographs and we can pay for the rest. Sounds good to me!

I don't think I'm going to go for the betting shop job after all-they've decided they don't want to pay me as much as they first did, but they will review it, blah blah blah... I can't help thinking I'd be stupid to take a pay cut!

Works Christmas do tonight-I'm a bit tipsy, so I'm sorry if this isn't making as much sense as it could! :o Was a good night, but as we all have to work tomorrow it didn't go on too late. We're all going to wear stupid Christmas hats tomorrow and I'm actually quite excited! :D

Ah yeah the Bodmin road closes at 8pm - the diversion is awful isn't it. I'm not sure how many people will get the Jethro joke :rotfl:

Glad you enjoyed the works do

All I ever used to get when I worked "up country" and told them where I was from was that joke... And every person thought they were original

Not going to Plymouth again anytime soon, that was awful!

It's okay during the day, little slow but not bad. Oh dear. Guess it's the only time people hear of Camborne
