Luckily she doesn't have terrible taste-she got remarried last year and it was lovely. I'm so excited :D

Day off today so I've been relaxing all day. Was meant to be taking my mum Christmas shopping, but she got herself all worked up and we didn't end up going. Looks like we won't be having Christmas at this rate. :(

Went to tesco and wasted £12 on not a lot, so not the best day for spending. Oh well.

Virgin sent me a letter to say they've upped my credit limit again-I'm not sure why though, I've never even used more than half of it. I reckon they're just putting the temptation there for me...

Off for my tae bo class some, should wake me up a bit! :rotfl:

    :D What a weekend!
Didn't have to work so I've spent a good part of the weekend drunk :o

Its been a completely free one though, so not bad going on the whole getting out of debt side of things.

On Friday before work I finished my Christmas shopping, so no more worrying about that. I hope its going to be a relaxing Christmas this year, for once. At least I've not gone any further into debt for it.

Friday night MIL was having a candle party-along the lines of a body shop party or an ann summers party, but with candles. I think-I can't actually remember any candles... Had some wine in the fridge so I took that, and it didn't cost me a thing.

Saturday I caught up with cleaning and tidying and other such boring things, and in the evening I went out with some friends from my exercise classes. We went to the meadery which was a new experience for me. I don't like the mead, so I had to drink lots of wine instead! All paid for in advance, so (sort of) free again. Went back to mates and she had a kareoke machine. I didn't participate as I just wasn't drunk enough to put myself through that, but I had great fun listening :rotfl:

Today I stayed in bed until lunchtime :o then went off to MILs to start planning the wedding-great fun. I decided on my dress and we started looking at venues. We didn't get that far, but we've made a start. Put up her Christmas decorations too, so it got me all festive. I've come home and just finished wrapping all my presents.

Good weekend all in all, I hope the week goes smoothly and quickly because OH is meant to be home for the weekend on Friday-YAY! :happyhear

I got offered a new job today, but I don't know what to do for the best
At the moment I work for the Post Office-a nice respectable job, in my opinion anyway. It pays well, but its only a part time job on a one year temporary contract, although its pretty much guaranteed that I'll be made permanent anyway. But temporary suits me as I'll be moving away with OH anyway.

The new job is back working in the betting shops which is what I used to do before the Post office, before I was (unfairly) dismissed. Either as a manager or assistant manager and they'll match/better my pay depending on which one I accept. It'll be full time and that'll help make a huge dent in my debt each month and help me save for the wedding. But I'm not sure if it'll be a step backwards. I work 9-5 Monday to Friday at the moment but in the bookies it'll be 9-9 everyday of the week!

I'm terrible with decisions like this as I pretty much always make the wrong one...

are you planning on moving straight after the wedding meyore? to be honest you really don't sound very keen on the betting job but if it's only for a few months would it maybe be worth it? but money isn't everything...

I don't know if I'm able to live with him until hes given his first posting, so I may still be stuck here for up to 6 months :(

My thinking is since OH isn't here and I have nothing better to do I may as well take the job and thrash my debt. I turned down this job before and regretted it, but I'm scared if I accept it I'll regret that too...Like I say, I'm rubbish with these decisions!

It's not a life sentence Meyore - if you don't like it you could look for something else... have you reached a decision yet?

*bumps* Any further thoughts on the job? It's a tough one but if it's temporary then I'd be inclined to go for it, like you said, it's something to do!

Waiting for them to get back to me now. They are sacking someone, thats how the position has come up, so once they've done that they'll be clearer on what they need and what they're willing to pay me and hopefully I'll be able to make up my mind!

I think I will though, because I'm really disillusioned with the Post Office at the moment, everyone keeps moaning about each other behind their backs, and it makes me wonder what they're saying when I'm not there.

At least at the other place I know and get on with everyone, and if there were problems they'd be up front about it.

Sorry to moan like that its been a long day :o

Not a moan at all, it's good to vent sometimes (I know I do :o)
