Hi I've been away from the boards for a couple of weeks now for a couple of reasons (mainly OH being home and enjoying myself too much!). Its given me chance to take stock and has renewed my enthusiasm to get debt free!
I thought I'd start my own sort of debt diary thingy here to map my progress and keep my enthusiasm up a bit. Feel free to read/advise if you want to, or not as the case may be!
Just a bit of background on me now...
I'm currently living with my mother while I'm selling my house as I cannot afford to keep it. At least this way my credit history remains good, as I would've ended up falling behind with payments etc. I am currently renting it out until January, when it will be sold. It will pay off a good portion of my debts, but sadly not all of them.
As soon as I am debt free me and my OH can start planning a future together, which is my main motivation. We want to get married, but I'm not comfortable going into marriage with my debts.
I owe a total of £18100 or there about at the moment and i am determined to get rid of this asap. I know its going to be hard but I really want to do this, so this is my challenge!
Thats enough about me for now, I'll try not to waffle on too much from now on, I promise...

Good to hear you have a buyer - how much will you be able to clear off your debts? Have you played around with the snowball calculator to see which debts to pay off- OH thinks I am sad the way I continually play on it and get excited when things change lol!

I get on with my mum great, but the way she lives her life annoys me and I can't wait to escape! :rotfl:
I don't go out much while OH is away which is most of the time. I spend most of my time working, at the gym or hiding in my room with my laptop! Not exciting, but its cheap and I'm happy!:heartpuls:heartpuls

I'm hoping for £10000 off my debts, which looks more than likely. I'm not getting my hopes up for anymore than that because I don't want to be disappointed!
The snowball calculator says September 2008, so I'm looking at how much I can better that by. My OH thinks I'm off my trolley with all my little money saving notes, websites etc, but he likes the results so can't complain:heartpuls:heartpuls

Hey girl :grouphug: Thought you'd fallen off the end of the world by mistake!
Course, if I'd have remembered your OH was coming back I'd have known what to expect0 -
Hey good to hear from you!
It was great to have him back for a while, but it makes it 10 times as hard now hes gone again. Hes been gone a week and I'm still moping around! I have some lovely memories to go on with though. If I can work out how to post pictures I'll put some of the pass out parade up at some point. :grinheart:heartpuls:heartpuls
