Happy Friday! I do love working from home, I get at least two hours back in my day. This morning I've put a chilli in the slow cooker so i'll be smelling it all day being hungry
60p exactly over budget on last nights food shop, would have come in under if it wasn't for the bacon and cheese sausages. The worst bit about shopping in aldi is you never know if they will ever bring some of the stuff back when it runs out so you end up stocking up! We've got a freezer drawer full of their summer kebabs and pork belly to eat through this winter because it was yum, but par of their bbq range so we knew we wouldn't be able to find it in the winter. Anyway, 60p is okay, and two packs of sausages, yum. Nothing else spent yesterday.
Nothing else to report really, NSD today, still undecided about tomorrow. Have to go back to the flat at some point this weekend to dismantle the bed ready for collection. Hoping for a very low spend weekend but we shall see.Paid - 7095/26218 - Total0 -
Feels like it's been weeks since I've logged on, what a busy couple of days it's been! Non mse news first...
It's the final countdown, do do do doooooooo
Big rubbish got put outside on the drive last night to be collected today (looked like something out of shameless, sorry neighbours but there was no way I was doing it at 6am this morning!) so hopefully that should be gone by now. Letting the cleaner and the garden man in tomorrow and handing keys back on Thursday. Eek! I'll be a little glad when it's done as it's money money back and forward at the moment, but can put it to bed in a few days, and rectify and reconcile the accounts (which are looking a little bare!) when it's payday on Monday.
MSE news - it is, as predicted, squeaky bum time until payday. The pots are depleted after my impulse use the emergency fund to clear the loan and empty the other pots for the moving expenses that should have come out of the emergency fund - move. Although it's lovely not having to view the looming loan figure on the spreadsheet every time I open it! Very frugal weekend, with nothing other than planned petrol and food spends coming out. Did end up going out on Saturday, but only had two drinks and didn't manage to get a round in before time was called on the night, happy days! Makes up for last week when I ended up with the expensive round haha. Snuggled up on Sunday, put a load of work in on the mandala, and realised last night that I'd jeffed it up somewhere, so had to unpick it all... not amused.
Got called for an emergency work meeting in the other office yesterday, so petrol claim in which will be a lovely little boost at the end of the month. Prolific need to approve a load of submissions so I can cash out too!
Actual CAN NOT WAIT until payday, having very little in the way of buffer is making me more than a little nervous right now... Roll on Monday!Paid - 7095/26218 - Total0 -

Keys ready and waiting for tomorrow
4 days until payday
NSD yesterday, only planned spends today, and 4 days until payday. Need to do a list for aldi but it's what I like to call, 'Freezer week!'. All main components will be coming from the freezer as it's the 5th week of the month, so cheapy food shop on the cards for tomorrow.
Happy hump day all! :money:Paid - 7095/26218 - Total0 -
Annnnd it's all done. Bye old house! Best news is landlord confirmed he's happy to return full deposit! Just over a grand, I'm over the moon. Welcome back emergency fund, I will be furiously stalking the bank until it's back in. Early calculations means it looks like I can restock the pots and the emergency fund, and pay off the balance on the smallest credit card, and get back on track to fill up the LISA within the next two paydays. SO happy!
Stuck to only planned spends yesterday, only planned food shop tonight which I have a £25 budget for, happy freezer week!Paid - 7095/26218 - Total0 -
Yay to a fantastic landlord and to the return of your deposit. I'd be the same and be constantly checking the bank account
Have a lovely day xx0 -

He's actually been a total gem.... up until a few months ago when he had a bit of an outburst at me over something incredibly trivial. Thankfully he returned back to his normal lovely self pretty quickly, and I'm very thankful that he wasn't a slumlord from hell, because for as many bad tenants as there are, there are an equal number of terrible landlords. Weird to think that it *could* (saying it very tentatively) be the last landlord I have :eek:Paid - 7095/26218 - Total0 -
