  • Nothing done at all, except a few bits of spring onion left on the countertop (why? The bin is 6 inches away) removed and butter put back into the fridge. I was shattered, he was, obviously, more tired than me with his 9. 30am start , so I had a quick bath, dried my hair and I'm listening to him snoring. And wishing I cba to go downstairs to fetch my earphones. All cats are up here - which means it's really cold.

    Morning all

Yesterday ended up with 2 of 3 lessons being cancelled, but I did try to make the most of it (the first one anyway, the second one just meant I wasn't home so late). Bedroom is looking better, laundry basket is even fuller but WM is already on this morning. Bedroom is nowhere near sorted but is work in progress. A few bits in the bin and a few more in the charity bag so happy with that.

Off to see DD1 late morning and take her her printer that nearly works, just doesn't print yellow so might try a new cartridge. Will also take her for lunch and probably end up bringing some of her washing home to do notably the bedding and towels. The joys of student kids!

Bed made, bathroom & living room tidy.

Time for coffee and breakfast then more washing and ironing and pack for weekend away

    Morning all

Late check in from me today, paid stuff already started but just having a break to make a cuppa. Dailies started, just need to s/s bathroom and then done with those.
WM x1 run and on airer to dry, still a lot of washing here too but that’s the way it is in the colder, wetter months, just try to do one load at a time to keep it ticking over. Hoping to get at least a few pleasant days to be able to dry outside.
Have full day of paid stuff to do, plumber coming this afternoon to start some work so I don’t think there will be a lot of time for flying. TBH not sure I have the energy either. I think tomorrow will be catch up day when at least DH is here to help.

Happy Friday all, have a good day x

Hello all. Not a lot of flying going on here, mix of long work days, appointments and errands for family. I'm on top of the dailies though.

Just having a cuppa, then I'll take the dogs out again.

  • Met Himself on the way home from work, vented (it was a quite trying day and I had been woken at 3am by the first nightmare I've had in many years), walked back, got involved in trying to save a little dog that had run into traffic (little dog is all safe, Himself was horrified that I'd do something so reckless as walk into the middle of the road to slow cars down whilst various other people ran around after it), stuck a washload on and he's claiming that he's going to do some washing up whilst he cooks tea and put some washing away afterwards.

He's working in the morning, so I'm expecting to be up from silly o'clock again - if I'm not lumbered with any kitchen stuff, I'll vacuum and maybe mop. Or just go back to bed with a coffee once he leaves.

  • All packed for a few days away so will be missing in action till late Tuesday.
Still managed a few of my daily routines.

Really didn`t need to traipse to the chemist to sort out our regular meds order.
Somehow they forgot to send the repeat prescriptions to the surgery.

Hope you all have a good weekend

    (((Hugs))) to Narc0 and MrN.

Back from our short break, which we cut even shorter by one night. Although yesterday we had a lovely morning at Laugharne and walking on the beach at Pendine with my goddaughter, the forecast for the rest of our stay in south Wales was wet, wet, wet and we decided that we would rather be at home than holed up in a cheap B&B with admittedly an OK bedroom but no chairs and very mediocre breakfasts at the next-door pub. (We shan't be going back there again!) We paid our bill this morning, drove through pouring rain to meet up with DH's cousins for an excellent pub lunch, got drenched when we stood in the car park to say goodbye to them, then just carried on home. The skies had brightened by the time we reached the place where we turn off the M4, but the grey clouds followed us home. Rosie is also glad to be back, though as usual she had adapted very quickly to being in a strange place and spending more time than i would have liked her to in her car crate. She did love the beach, though!

A full day off tomorrow will be an unexpected pleasure, and if the weather forecast is right and it stays mainly dry, I might get the patio pots planted up for winter and do a few tidying jobs in the garden. But it will be because i want to, not because I ought to :D

Hope everyone has a good weekend xx

    Morning

Weekend Willi is back :D Wondering if One Job Willi and Sunday Willi will be coming out to [STRIKE]play[/STRIKE] fly again this weekend.

Today will be the first full day I've had at home for 20 days - and, boy, can you tell! :o

Yesterday I managed to write up my new birthday list for 2019/ 2020 - my 'birthday year' runs from November to August - no family or friends born in September or October. I also wrote my 'Christmas presents to buy for' list, and texted two friends to ask if they were happy to drop Christmas and birthday present swapping - :money:

So far today I've made my bed and set WM swishing with towels / tea towels. Catching up with the thread and a cuppa.

Priorities today are: hand basin in bathroom  (aka an experiment in the search for new strain of penicillin :() and to get on top of the pots. Mount Washmore needs attention too.

There are a whole lot more of and, and, ands clamouring for attention - but that way lies madness.

I'll clean the hand basin when I go up to get dressed, then it's done. I have developed a gammy knee which does not like stairs - so strategic planning is key :)

Have a good day my lovelies.
Hugs, spoons and get well soons available as required.

Morning all. On my own mostly this weekend. DH is at work and the dogs are at their weekend retreat, also known as DDs.

Think I'll wander down to a village event this morning but other than that will just be pottering.

    Have a great day everyone.
