    Welcome NannyAnnie. Morning all.

Gas service being done here today. My priorities around dailies are steam mopping the hobby room floor and doing as much of the kitchen list as I can. Another couple of meetings too.

    Have a great day everyone.

Oh dear, no soon do I join the thread than disappear off on holiday for 2 weeks and fall off the wagon. Have been doing battle with the washing since last Thursday. I don't like using the TD much on clothes, just cotton underwear, so have been juggling the washing between the rain. Had one lot hung on a rack but it took a good while to dry as our heating isn't on yet (apart from a sneaky 30 mins this morning). Have ordered our water softener which will be installed next week, so that will hopefully make cleaning the bathroom a much less horrible job.

Right, back to the ironing, then swimming, then quick trip to town to buy odd bits involved in today's cooking.

Got decorators coming to look at some remedial work that needs doing in our bedroom from when bits were replastered and they aren't even.

May get some cleaning in somewhere today, who knows?

Another week! I'm still a week behind & working off last weeks list as I like to write out my plan for the week in my bullet journal on a Friday while I spend 1.5 hours at ballet - it's a productive use of my time where I used to just stare at my phone aimlessly.

But I do feel a bit like I'm missing out as this week looks fun - but I'm sure I will enjoy taking part next week :rotfl:

Yesterday I cleaned the kitchen floor, front of fridge and bin & cleaned out toaster. I put Absolute 90s on the radio and danced while I cleaned - it was actually quite good fun!

Today I will vacuum & dust front room before collecting the girls from school.

Major win at the weekend as DH has been spurred into action by me ticking off the little jobs and put up shelves in the utility room that we've had for probably two years... So I now get the fun job of finding nice storage etc to keep it all tidy :j I think I want to get some of those retro food tins that I've always lusted after but never been able to justify getting. Already looks so much better though than it did when it was all stacked on top of the WM.

Have a good day all, and thank you again for the motivation & encouragement, I do enjoy reading all your posts.

First meeting done and I did a quick shop while in town. Before that I cleaned the kitchen window and sorted one food cupboard.

Also did odds and sods like booking hotels and appointments and ordering meds.

Just having a cuppa then I'll drop car off at garage and walk dogs back.

Need to go in cupboard of doom to find hallowe'en stuff for display at DHs work.

Nanny I've been around this thread for years, some weeks I do only level one, other weeks the whole lot :)
I have a reputation for 'if it is not needed and not nailed down it goes off to car booting' anything not used for 6 months or more often goes as well.
At the start of my life on this thread, all I did in each room for about a month was remove rubbish, in a room with a black bin bag till it was full, then the same again in the next room the next day and so on.
It didn't get in a mess over night and it won't get right over night, but every little helps so just keep at it, in a method that suits you.
My house now 'feels' echoey. :) but so much easier to keep sorted and clean.

    Been volunteering got soaked! :)
Came home and watched it lash down, with plenty of thunder and lightening, cat wrapped around my feet.

Dizzy if you are around, I hope you are safe as I've been watching the high spring tides over the last few days and with all this rain, fingers crossed for you.

    I've hoovered about
    Clean 2 toilets
Brought the bins back in, the council workers were also soaked at lunch time

Absolutely thrilled this morning to hear that this evening's meeting AND after school training were both cancelled.

Hopefully I can get caught up on jobs; most of aired ironing away; hope to get more ironed later and get a load through WM to finish in time to go in TD in the morning before work. Because the rain seems to be here to stay.

  • Had quite a productive day. Threw out 10 bags of junk belonging to DH fingers crossed he doesn`t notice. He had a head injury a few years ago which has affected his life and mine.
Did my daily s&s of most of our flat and concentrated on the bathroom. Did levels 1, 2 & 3 cleaning. Ok so the disabled friendly shower tray needs to be cleaned. It needs to be lifted up and cleaned underneath. Tomorrow is another day.

Taking mum to the hairdresser tomorrow but I`ll do what I can.

    Welcome NannyAnnie

Today has been filled with random jobs. I have
    - cleaned (most of) the kitchen
    - hoovered through downstairs
    - cleaned the ensuite
    - WMx2
    - wrote and posted 3 birthday cards
    - made various phonecalls and sent various emails and texts, mostly work related
    - did my monthly finance check
    - cleared more papers and bags in the study
    - bought a new toilet seat for the ensuite (DH broke the old one yesterday and didn't tell me )
    - spent a large amount of money on various bits of clothing for us and a waterproof coat for Rosie, but when I tried it on her, she hated it, so it will be returned to the shop unused :money: and she will just have to cope with getting wet - street dogs hate rain!
    - also bought sheets for DH's bed
    - cut DH's hair
    - went to the surgery with DH for our flu jabs ;)
    - had a conversation with my crazy goddaughter about where to meet on Thursday
    - brought in the wooden table and chairs from the garden and stored them in the back porch until next summer
    - took Rosie for a walk between showers
    - picked another handful of runner beans and a few more tomatoes
    - fitted the new toilet seat
    - emptied the bins
    - photographed the family tree pages in DH's cousin's Welsh family Bible, which we shall return to her on Friday
    - printed some cards for church
    - less-than-QHI
    - mended an elephant's broken tusk: only a 2-minute job, once I'd plucked up courage :D
    - mended a little hole in my trousers
    - rang my littlest goddaughter's family to see how she is (she's had a viral infection, snuffles and coughing, but is slowly getting better) and arranged to visit them next week when I'm in their area
    - watched GBBO and fell asleep just before the end, so I have no idea who was eliminated :rotfl:

Tomorrow morning I must clear a bit more church admin, pack, and go and visit two ladies in the same care home, then we're off visiting for the next couple of days. I must also remember to copy out the road numbers (I hate sat-navs!) Will keep up with the thread as usual but won't be posting.

    Stay warm and dry x
