  • Not done as much as I hoped but did clean the bathroom. Pile of washing is still enormous but is going down.
Been to visit friend in hospital and now back home for dinner and TV. Going to watch in bed as OH is away and it's a bit chilly. Hoping for an early night and a good nights sleep.
Tomorrow is a full day working as is Wednesday.
Just need to but plate is DW then it can go on overnight.

    See you all tomorrow.

Thank you for the lists. This should be interesting!
So many good intentions and so little done. Impressive even for me.

I’m aiming for level ones throughout plus dailies and some of the extras. I’m working most of the week so it will be as and when.

Today I’ve managed HHI, stripped DD’s bed, put recycling out, run dw. I’ll try harder tomorrow.

Ooohh but I’ve just ordered the new bed settee for the ex RoD. Just the black sacks of clothes, bed linen, shoes, scarves.....to sort out now.

  • Evening everyone, I`ve lurked here for a few days and hope to get the hang of this flying lark soon.
I`m not ready for any level 3 stuff yet... I`m lucky to get any level 1 things done... though I did clean the loo and sink and did some general vacuuming.

I`m still decluttering and it`s a monumental task, there`s bags of stuff in every room and a large cupboard near the front door that`s become a dumping ground for assorted crud.

    I`m feeling a little overwhelmed.

Nanny.. I've been here years and my house is still a bear pit.. I'm not very good at it! Welcome and jump right in an do what you do .. so long as you do more with us than you did before then you are winning!! But we never fail.. we may stumble and falter and fall over our rubbish or into a binbag.. but we never fail!

    2x WM done

    TD on
    1 load folded

I have bloods again in the morning and OH is at work from 12 so hopefully I will get a childfree 2 hours in the afternoon to beat a little bit of mess into submission.. DS3 and DD3 are home so they can get up and help.. one can wash windows and the other can vacuum.. I think that might be fun to watch! Haha!

Goodness is it Tuesday already. Well this was Monday:
    - did Body Balance and Zumba
    - Went to Mr T
    - Discussed decluttering plans with Mr N who was in agreement that we should devote this week to the kitchen even if it takes all week, but we will go through every drawer, cupboard, items on worktops and pinboards. Made a start by:
    - removing all plants (5) from one windowsill, put more compost in 2 (have been meaning to do that for ages but it's one of those things which I clean round and plan to "do it later". There will be no "doing later" this time round until the kitchen is finished). Relocated 1 plant so sill less cluttered. Relocated 1 tube hand cream, 1 squirty soap and consolidated 2 pots hand cleaner so now the windowsill (cleaned) has just one of each.
    - Thoroughly cleaned plastic thing I keep brush, brillo pads etc in.
    - Started sorting through our cleaning items under the sink and those we've inherited from MIL currently in a washing up bowl on worktop. Consolidated some, relocated others. Work in progress.
    - Washed fondue set I haven't used in years and put it in charity box. Ditto a glass storage jar.
    - various other things put in rightful place.

Well that doesn't sound much but it is a start and we are both very determined.
    Also today:
    - checked a colleague's report
    - packaged up some stuff to post
    - put away clean clothes
    - caught up with emails.
Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.

    Morning all

    Welcome Nannyannie.

It’s another day at paid stuff as I need tomorrow off. I’ve done QHI, emptied the dw and given the bathrooms a cursory s&s. Dinner was prepped on Sunday so at least that’s ready and waiting.
Pigpen - oven envy here too.
    Have a lovely day all.

    Morning all

I’ve showered, eaten breakfast and done the dailies. Off to full day of paid stuff now. Out again this evening so minimal time to fly. Will do level one somewhere in the house!

Have a good day all x
  • Pigpen... thank you so much I was feeling a bit inadequate... yes my pokey little flat is looking a bit better

Going to sort out another couple of bags of assorted crud... don`t think I can face doing all of them at once. Really need to clean my chrome toilet roll holder, yeah I know it`s a bit random but it`s looking really tarnished

Hope you all have a good day
